Rangers sign CCSN pitcher

Richard Gilbert, a left-handed pitcher from Clyde Park, Mont., who was 7-0 with a 4.54 earned-run average for Community College of Southern Nevada this spring, has signed a free-agent contract with the Texas Rangers. He will report to Texas' Rookie League team at Port Charlotte, Fla., on June 22.
