Receiver sought by partner in LV tech company

A co-owner of three Las Vegas telecommunications companies, who accused his partner of blocking his access to the companies' business records, is seeking an order to appoint a receiver to take control of the companies' assets, bank and credit card accounts.

In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, Philip Ohler, who said he has a 50 percent ownership of the three companies, Vegas-Gate.com LLC, Colo-Gate.com LLC and Jump-Gate LLC, sued his partner, Rob Roy, alleging he illegally locked Ohler out by changing the access codes to his office after a dispute erupted over management issues.

Ohler, who said his parents had invested $50,000 and other investors had provided $432,964 in funds to Vegas-Gate.com, a telecommunications business housing computer systems for third-party customers, alleged Roy looted the company's bank account and spent more than $45,000 on personal purchases.

The suit said Roy also accumulated more than $20,000 in personal expenses through Colo-Gate.com.

The defendant could not be reached for comment on the allegations.
