Anna Alexander

Anna Alexander, 47, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. A child-care provider, she was born Dec. 11, 1953, in Monroe, La.

She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Alexander and Mildred Alexander, both of Las Vegas; four sisters; four brothers; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 1025 Balzar Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Theo P. Ashment

Theo P. Ashment, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1937, in Freedom, Wyo. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by three daughters, Susan of Grace, Idaho, Amber Armstrong of Boise, Idaho, and Monique Maxwell of Las Vegas; five sons, Scott Beard of Rhode Island, Micky Ashment of Seattle, Ricky Ashment of Great Falls, Mont., Billy Ashment of Augusta, Ga., and Eric Ashment of Las Vegas; two sisters, Madge Jacobson of Irwin, Idaho, and Buelah Chesak of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three brothers, Theron Ashment of Irwin, Blaine Ashment of Rigby, Idaho, and Norris Ashment of Idaho Falls; and 21 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Robert Roy Brewer

Robert Roy Brewer, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1925, in Duluth, Minn. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired FBI agent, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Daylite Masonic Lodge 44, American Legion and Zelzah Shrine.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Brewer of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and John Brewer of Las Vegas; two daughters, Pamela Brewer and Joan Brewer, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Elsie Adolphson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Bessie Edmiston of Americus, Kan.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Anna 'Marie' Brooks

Anna "Marie" Brooks, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Wamego, Kan. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda McKee of Canyon Country, Calif., Carol Lynch of San Diego and Ann Benning of San Jose, Calif.; three sons, Mark Brooks of Henderson, Richard Byrne of Mesa, Ariz., and T.R. Byrne of Collinsville, Okla.; 16 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.

Teofilo Cabotaje

Teofilo Cabotaje, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1932, in the Philippines. A resident for 11 years, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by his wife, Bibiana; five daughters, Irene Nosotros, Belen Rosendal, Vilma Cabotaje and Amelia Cabotaje, all of the Philippines, and Arceli Rhoda of Las Vegas; five sons, Alfredo Cabotaje, Joel Cabotaje, Williy Cabotaje, Teofilo Cabotaje Jr. and Edgardo Cabotaje, and two sisters, Alfreda Cabotaje and Anicia Alejandro, all of the Philippines; three brothers, Thomas Cabotaje and Danilo Masaya, both of the Philippines, and Nicasio Masaya of California; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Charles W. Cline

Charles W. Cline, 87, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1914, in New York. A resident for one year, he was a metallurgical engineer, a member of the Masons, Shriners and Carnegie Mellon alumni.

He is survived by one son, Sandra Cline Restori of Las Vegas and Susan Pasquarelli of Jensen Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Derell Colby

Derell Colby, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1932, in Mechanicsville, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired farmer, a Korean War Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by one daughter, Colene Colby of Sumner, Iowa; one son, Dale Colby of Amery, Wis.; one brother, Allen Colby of San Clemente, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

George Davis

George Davis, 72, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Mississippi. A resident for 33 years, he was a cook.

He is survived by one son, George Davis III of Hinesville, Ga.; three daughters, Emma Ott, May Davis and Elmarie Johnson, all of Chicago; three sisters, Rosie Ashley, Brevell Baxter and Mozella Scott, all of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., followed by burial in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Steven William Enloe

Steven William Enloe, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 26, 1955, in Montebello, Calif. A resident for 46 years, he was a sales manager.

He is survived by one son, Steven William Enloe Jr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kimberley Andrea Enloe of San Diego; his father, Cecil Enloe of California; his mother and stepfather, Sue and Dwain Godown, and one brother, John Fisher, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Debi Hoi of England.

Mary L. Fintland

Mary L. Fintland, 75, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1925, in South International Falls, Minn. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Skinnell of Henderson; three brothers, Edward Kalar, Harry Kalar and Emil Kalar, all of South International Falls, Minn.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in California.

Eddie B. Gray

Eddie B. Gray, 78, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Wewoka, Okla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Desert Inn pantry worker and a retired member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by three daughters, Joan Patterson, Baheejah Abduls-Salaam and Cheryl Dunlap, all of Las Vegas; one son, Irving Nichols of Bakersfield, Calif.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Jerry Gregory

Jerry Gregory, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1947.

Lillian Hopkins

Lillian Hopkins, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Minnesota. A resident for 10 years, she was a secretary.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Samson of Wayzata, Minn., and Candi Norstrom of Minneapolis; one sister, Frances Sukovick of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

George W. Hyden

George W. Hyden, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Kentucky. A resident for 13 years, he was a real estate broker and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; three sons, George, Roger and Richard; one daughter, Nancy Hardy; one sister, Rolee Stockwell; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harriet E. Kennedy

Harriet E. Kennedy, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1913, in Madera, Calif. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired scientific secretary in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by one daughter, Gay L. Kennedy of Las Vegas; one sister, Gladys L. Link of O'Neals, Calif.; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Thelma Yukonia Klinkner

Thelma Yukonia Klinkner, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 14, 1911, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired postmaster.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Aaron Lugo and Liborio Lugo Jr.

Aaron Lugo, 3 months, and Liborio Lugo Jr., 4, both of Las Vegas, died Saturday in Las Vegas. Aaron was born May 17, 2001, in Las Vegas, and Liborio was born Aug. 6, 1997, in Homestead, Fla. The family were Las Vegas residents for one year.

They are survived their father, Liborio Lugo of Texas; their mother, Julito Lizaso, three brothers, Adan Lugo, Ignacio Lugo and Thomas Padron, and one sister, Marianita Lizaso, all of Las Vegas; and their grandparents, Theresa Palacios and Gregorio Lizaso, both of Las Vegas, and Palacida Resendes Lugo of Mexico.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Edward Anthony Mlynarczyk

Edward Anthony Mlynarczyk, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Philadelphia. A resident for 56 years, he was a general contractor and a retired World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; one son, Michael, and one daughter, Tanya, both of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Anna Elvira Norland, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Clementson, Minn. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Norland of Mesquite and Allan Norland of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia Shaw of North Las Vegas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Kenneth M. Ryder

Kenneth M. Ryder, 59, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born May 20, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 35 years, he was a human resources director in the gaming industry and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Leigh; one daughter, Chelsea Ryder, and one son, Cameron Ryder, both of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Tarrah Dudley of Ohio and Heather Dudley of Henderson; two stepsons, Reign Dudley and Chadd Dudley, his father, Clark Ryder, and one sister, Sharon Williams, all of Ohio.

Robert B. Saunders

Robert B. Saunders, 79, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Bridgeport, Ohio. A resident for 18 months, he was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son; one daughter; one brother; and several grandchildren.

Carmela Schena

Carmela Schena, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 29, 1920, in Massachusetts. A resident for 16 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons, Frank, David, Richard, Robert and Paul; two daughters, Margaret Fienberg and Debra Schena; two brothers, Anthony Novello and George Novello; two sisters, Rita DeStephano and Dorothy Peters; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Irene L. Slay, 72, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in a local hospital. She was born April 7, 1929, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired driver for the Clark County School District.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin; four sons, Ramon Boatwright, Eddie C. Boatwright and Ausby C. Slay, all of Las Vegas, and Jeffrey Davis of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Lois Gordon of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Steven and Warren; one daughter, Wendy; one brother, Howard; one sister, Elleanore; and one grandchild.

He is survived by one daughter, Marie Jordan of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

William David Thompson

William David Thompson, 79, of Boulder City died Aug. 16 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Eau Claire, Wis. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Bev McNutt of Federal Way, Wash., and Ann Thompson of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Bill Thompson and Mike Thompson, both of Moscow, Idaho; one sister, Marge Tulinsky of Lansing, Mich.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Joslin, his father, Lee Torres, and one brother, Jacob Lee Torres, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Tillie Ebanez of Louisville, Ky., and Sherry and John Hildahl of Medford, Ore.

He is survived by his wife, Christina A.

Sharon Weil

Sharon Weil, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 26, 1938, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bud; three daughters, Sandy Ortega of Ventura, Calif., Lori Lozowski of Las Vegas and Karen Shortle of Denver; one stepson, Dan Weil of Guadalupe, Calif.; two sisters, Betsy Ishii of Las Vegas and Terry Gonzales of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one brother, Michael Gonzales of Lakewood, Calif.; and one grandchild.
