UBS urgently seeks donations

United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd., has scheduled blood drives at these locations this week:

Tuesday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the MGM Grand.

Wednesday, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. at the MGM Grand.

Thursday, 7:45 a.m.-3 p.m. at Nellis Air Force Base and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Boulder City Elks Lodge, 1217 Nevada Highway.

Friday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at University of Nevada School of Medicine, 1707 W. Charleston Blvd., and 7 a.m-4 p.m. at Associated Pathologist Lab, 4230 Burnham Ave., Suite 250, Friday.

Saturday, 3-8 p.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4519 Simmons St.

Monday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. at Excalibur and 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Omega Psi Fhi, 4505 Maryland Parkway, Monday.

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodges 1 and 3, Nevada Child Seekers and Jump Start Inc. are joining forces to do fingerprinting and photographing of children at the following locations:

Groups join up to offer program

In an effort to reach women who cannot otherwise receive regular mammograms, Chevron and the Women's Health Connection are partnering with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to offer free mammograms to qualified women 40 and older on a first-come, first-served basis 6 a.m-2 p.m. Thursday at Terrible Herbst Chevron, 1195 E.
