Letter: D-Day takes on a new meaning
Tuesday, June 12, 2001 | 9:29 a.m.
On June 6 we celebrated D-Day, which marked the beginning of the end to Hitler and Nazi Germany. June 6, 2001, shall also be remembered as another "D-Day," when the Democrats regained the majority in the Senate and turned the rudders of the ship of state to the middle from its previous starboard course.
