Maxine Hannig Alcock

Maxine Hannig Alcock, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born March 3, 1936, in Pioche. A resident for 29 years, she was a nurse, artist, art instructor, and business woman.

She was preceded in death by one son, Edward Grant of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Michael Grant of Dayton, Ohio, and Kenneth Grant of Las Vegas; and one brother, Karl Hannig of Panaca.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Grace E. Baldwin

Grace E. Baldwin, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for three years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a floral company.

She is survived by one daughter, Florence A. Burkett of Las Vegas; two brothers, Alvin Goodhart of San Diego and David Goodhart of Kent, Ohio; one sister, Alma Goodhart of Warren, Ohio; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Paul S. Blechschmidt

Paul S. Blechschmidt, 45, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 4, 1956, in Huron, S.D. A resident for 35 years, he was a fiber optics electrician in the construction industry and a member of the Boulder City Elk's Lodge and IBEW in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Toria Blechschmidt of Boulder City; and two sisters, Mary Lou Downing of Tujunga, Calif., and Toria Sue Benson of Portland, Ore.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. July 7 in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City.

Lucille A. Boland

Lucille A. Boland, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1910, in Washington. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired secretary for the government.

She is survived by one daughter, Jacalyn Woods of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Cook of Stockton, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Sandra Wiley of Arlington, Texas; one stepson, John Boland of Grand Prairie, Texas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

James F. Burris

James F. Burris, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born April 23, 1918, in Westfield, Iowa. A resident for five years, he was a retired driver for a movie studio company, Navy veteran, and a member of the Teamsters Local 399.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; eight children; three sisters; one brother; 31 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Martha T. Cable

Martha T. Cable, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Old Mesilla, N.M. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by seven daughters, Gloria Lopez of Las Cruces, N.M., Martha French, Marjorie Tegtow, Ruthann Hillier and Mary Grace Schmitt, all of Las Vegas, Carol Rojas of Alamogordo, N.M., and Della Martines of Cleveland; five sons, Richard Cable of Duck Creek, Utah, David Cable and Kenneth Cable, both of Las Vegas, and Jimmy Lara and Johnny Lara, both of Phoenix; 41 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, Downtown. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Dorothy Casebeer

Dorothy Casebeer, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker, volunteer at Sunrise Hospital and a member of the Nevada Animal Society.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangement.

Geneva J. Champlin

Geneva J. Champlin, 75, of Pahrump died Wednesday in Pahrump. She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Liebenthal, Kan. A resident for four years, she was a bookkeeper and a member of Daughters of Mary and the TOPS.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Melvin.

She is survived by one son, Wayne Champlin of Pahrump; two daughters, Rosalind Franks of Biloxi, Miss., and Pauline Stout of Anortas, Wash.; four sisters, Cecilia Sanders and Isabelle Schuckman, both of Lacrosse, Wis., Mary Barnes of McCracken, Kan., and Stella Miller of Newton, Kan.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of the Valley Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

James A. Connelly

James A. Connelly, 51, of Las Vegas died June 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1949, in California. A resident for 18 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Lee Ledford of Bolivar, Mo.; one son, Alan Connelly of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, Brian Connelly of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Frank L. Conner

Frank L. Conner, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired communications engineer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Mildred Covelli of Las Vegas; one stepsister, Doris Alward of Whittier, Calif.; and one stepbrother, Lawrence Doppke of Oloha, Ore.

Irving Eiserike

Irving Eiserike, 92, of Nevada died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1909, in New York. A resident for 12 years, he was a independent cab driver and a member of the American Postal Union.

He is survived by one brother, Isaac Eiserike of Silver Springs, Md.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Leonard Benjamin Feldman

Leonard Benjamin Feldman, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Philadelphia. A resident for nine years, he was a maintenance worker and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Gardner of Irvine, Calif.; and two stepdaughters, Eleanor Mora and Marilyn Blackwell, both of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Mary R. Guagenti

Mary R. Guagenti, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 10, 1926, in New York. A resident for six months, she was an executive secretary for a manufacturing company.

She is survived by her husband, Charles.

Jay H. Hall

Jay H. Hall, 76, of Pahrump died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired machinist for an aerospace company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jean A.; one stepdaughter, Nancy R. Aust of Vancouver, Wash.; one stepson, Gary L. Hughes of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gwendolyn Fern Hawkins

Gwendolyn Fern Hawkins, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born July 16, 1915, in Vesta, Minn. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one sister, Genevieve Walters of Kentwood, Mich.; and one brother, Eugene Nieswander of Watseka, Ill.

Services and burial will be private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Alberdia Hill

Alberdia Hill, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1911, in Arkansas. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Mae Moore of Inglewood, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross. Burial will be private.

Kimberly J. Hull

Kimberly J. Hull, 35, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1965, in Kittery, Maine. A lifelong resident, she was a manicurist.

She is survived by two sons, Keenan White and Kyler White, her parents, Robert and Janet Hull Sr., and one sister, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Robert Hull Jr., of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Michael Hull of Las Vegas.

John W. Krauss

John W. Krauss, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 12, 1939, in Cleveland. A resident for 12 years, he was a cab driver for Yellow Checker Star.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; ; two sons, Troy Allen Krauss of Canton, Ohio, and John W. Krauss III of Lawton, Okla.; one daughter, Jodi Lynn Burns of Shreveport, La.; and seven grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Mannion

Evelyn Mannion, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 3, 1915, in Montreal. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired restaurant cashier and a member of the Culinary Union and the board of the Las Vegas Town Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bernard.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Elenore Marie McGivney

Elenore Marie McGivney, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 15, 1928, Chicago. A resident for eight months, she was a retired quality inspector for Rockwell International.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Beverly Bokamper of Las Vegas; one son, James J. Prescott, her parents, Jean and Jim Serafine and one brother, Jerry Serafine, all of California; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Virginia Peart

Virginia Peart, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas.

She was born Virginia Evans on Aug. 26, 1916, in Preston, Idaho. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Edward Peart and Gerald Peart, both of North Carolina, and John Peart and Joseph Peart, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Susan Edwards-Stott and Lori Diamond, both of Texas; a brother, Charles Evans of Phoenix; three sisters, Betty Goff and Valetta Petterborg, both of St. George, Utah, and Ruby Howarth of Oregon; 37 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at Hollywood Boulevard and Kell Lane. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Bunkers' Mortuary. Burial will be in Preston, Idaho.

Armando A. Rosamilia Jr.

Armando A. Rosamilia Jr., 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 11 years, he was retired from the Army and a Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by one son, Armand Rosamilia III of Nutley, N.J.; one brother, Gerald Rosamilia of Belford, N.J.; and three sisters, Rafaella Saulina of Belleville, N.J., Rosemarie Gammaro of Tequesta, Fla., and Barbara Loungo of Colonia, N.J.

John G. Stava

John G. Stava, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 24, 1925, in Cicero, Ill. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired controller for an airline and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica; three daughters, Michelle Stava of Sunnyvale, Calif., Tina Stava of Piedmont, Calif., and Carolyn Van Zwol of Las Vegas; two sons, Thomas Stava of Las Vegas and John Stava of Sunnyvale; one sister, Marie Danek of Mundelein, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Vesta Jo Wilson, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Garden City, Kan. A resident for 39 years, she was a Social Security clerk for 32 years and a member of the Business Women's Organization.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin; one brother, James David Crabb of Garden City, Kan.; and one sister, Patricia E. Lile of North Las Vegas.
