Letter: President's plans deserve support

The president was right on the other night when he said he wanted to keep his word to seniors (I am 80 years old) by locking away Social Security and Medicare funds for Social Security and Medicare alone.

Here is a man who knows our generation created much of America's greatness, and he is delivering on his promise to keep Washington from raiding seniors' retirement and health care programs.

In addition, his plan to provide fair and responsible tax relief for everyone who pays taxes, with the largest percentage of cuts to go to those at the lowest end of the economic levels, is indeed a welcome one. He has my fullest support.
