Local group names officers

Clark County Young Republicans elected new officers and board members last week for two-year terms.

Nathan Taylor, founder of the group, was re-elected chairman. The new board members are First Vice-Chairman Rodrigo Santa Cruz of Orgill Singer Insurance Co., Second Vice-Chairman Orlando Sanchez of the city of Las Vegas, and Secretary Robin Deleon of UNLV.

Prior to this year's election, Hispanic Republicans have never served on the board of Clark County Young Republicans. For more information, call 277-6925.

Yoga discussed as therapeutic approach

The Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada will conduct a special presentation, "Yoga for the Special Child," which will use yoga as a therapeutic approach for disabled infants and children.

Partnership program given office space

The School-Community Partnership Program of the Clark County School District received 2,700 square feet in office space and tenant improvements from American Nevada Corp., a Greenspun company and primary developer of Green Valley.
