Execs leave for Harrods

Two executives with famed retailer Nordstrom have left the company to take executive positions at British retailer Harrods, but Nordstrom is denying rumors that the two companies are headed for a merger.
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported that former Nordstrom executives John Whitacre and Marty Wikstrom, who resigned in September, have taken positions at Harrods.
Nordstrom plans to open its first Las Vegas full-line store at Fashion Show Mall late next year. Nordstrom bolted from a planned mall between Mandalay Bay and Luxor to go to Fashion Show, and Mandalay Resort Group said in October it had preliminary discussions with Harrods about placing a store there in Nordstrom's place.
