Tuesday tour canceled at Nellis

The regular public tour of the Thunderbirds Museum at Nellis Air Force Base has been canceled Tuesday. Tours will resume 2 p.m. Thursday.

To go on the free tour, go to the visitors center at the Nellise main gate, at Craig Road and Las Vegas Boulevard North, by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays or Thursdays to obtain a temporary access pass. Driver's license, current vehicle registration and proof of insurance will be needed.

Thursday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Bellagio; 3:30-8:30 p.m., LDS Boulder City Chapel, 916 5th St., Boulder City.

Friday: 7 a.m.-noon, American Medical Laboratories, 4230 Burnham Ave., Suite 250; 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Saturday: 7 a.m.-noon and 4-9 p.m., Mandalay Bay; 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Sun City Anthem, 2450 Hampton Road.

Class offered on Thursday

The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Learning Center, 2590 Lindell Road, is offering landscape design/retrofit classes from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday.

The only requirement for enrollment is to have an existing landscape you're working on or a new landscape. Cost is $50. Call Mel Hengen at 294-4278.
