MASHANTUCKET, Conn. -- Slot machine revenue at the Foxwoods Resort Casino hit $76.8 million in August, breaking the record of $73.8 million set the month before.
Bill Sherlock, Foxwoods president and chief executive officer, said the casino has added nearly 600 slot machines since July 2000, when revenues also hit a new record.
With the record revenue comes a record share for the state, $19.2 million. Under an agreement with Foxwoods, the state gets 25 percent of the casino's net slots profit.
