Letter: Powell should have free rein

This World War II AAF vet agrees with Mike O'Callaghan's April 19 column, "Powell in line of fire." If "W" would give him free rein, Colin Powell shows the potential of being the best secretary of state since George Marshall of the Truman administration.
He is the only member of the "W" administration who shows the badly needed international diplomacy and statesmanship that is regressively lacking each and every day. We do not need a "Chamber of Commerce" foreign policy.
