Adolph Amelkin

Adolph Amelkin, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired plumber and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche; two sons, Brian Amelkin of Helena, Mont., and Jeffery Amelkin of New York City; two sisters, Sylvia Levitt and Roslyn Schwartz, both of Tamarac, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was scheduled at 9:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

Elizabeth Beta

Elizabeth Beta, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 22, 1909, in Germany. A resident for 11 months, she was a retired licensed practical nurse.

She is survived by one son, William Beta of Henderson.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Linda Sue Caise

Linda Sue Caise, 54, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born May 22, 1947, in St. Anne, Ill. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired registered nurse, a member of the Salvation Army and Nevada Nurses Association.

She is survived by one brother, Thomas Caise of St. Anne; one sister, Cheryl Young of Batavia, Ill.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Maurice Dean Crunk

Maurice Dean Crunk, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. A resident for 60 years, he was born June 7, 1934, in East Alton, Ill.

He is survived by one son, Steven, one daughter, Karen Sue, and two brothers, Darrell and Ray, all of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Angela N. Duran

Angela N. Duran, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 10, 1917, in New York City. A resident for one year, she was a clerk for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Goode; two sons, Martin A. Sekulski and Michael E. Duran; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling private arrangements.

Frank C. Falba

Frank C. Falba, 86, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1916, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 52 years, he was a retired gaming industry manager, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Las Vegas Country Club.

He is survived by one son, Mickey Falba of Las Vegas; two daughters, Barbara Lee Chapman of Henderson and Linda Falba McSweeney of San Mateo, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 6 p.m. vigil Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Larry C. Flor

Larry C. Flor, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 24, 1934, in Philadelphia. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired contracts and pricing manager, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Larry Flor and Richard Flor, both of California, and Devon Flor of Las Vegas; one sister, Joanie Quizon of California; and two grandchildren.

J.T. Garland

J.T. Garland, 67, of Las Vegas died April 19 in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1935, in Arkadelphia, Ark. A resident for 38 years, he was a manager at the race and sports book at Caesars Palace and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Gary Lynn Garland and David Floyd Garland, and one daughter, Cherie Ann Montesano, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Hazel Thomas Garland, and one sister, Barbara Elder of Southaven, Miss; one brother, Dr. Larry Garland of Delray Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2:40 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Julia Ann Hanes

Julia Ann Hanes, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 8, 1933, in Milan, Tenn. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired factory worker for a baking utensils shop.

She is survived by three daughters, Hilda Allbritton of McHenry, Ill., Monica Olson of West End, N.C., and Robin Humphrey of Henderson; one son, Terry Hanes of Wauconda, Ill.; four brothers, Charles Runions of Kalamazoo, Mich., Ralph Runions of Florida, Gene Runions of Tennessee and Joe Runions of Wauconda; and nine grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George H. Haupt

George H. Haupt, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 10, 1923, in Marquette, Mich. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired railroad brakeman, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Nancy Hyland of Grass Lake, Mich.; three sons, Michael Haupt of Marquette, Mich., and George Haupt and Richard Haupt, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Gerald Haupt of San Diego; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Keith George Karpie

Keith George Karpie, 23, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a convention industry laborer, a member of Teamsters Local 631 and a graduate of Chaparral High School.

He is survived by his father, Gary Karpie of Whitehills, Ariz.; his mother and stepfather, Fay and Brian Yule of Las Vegas; one sister, Connie Ellis of Minnesota; and two brothers, Arland Sears of Iowa and Shawn Karpie of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Casimir J. 'Casey' Malinger

Casimir J. "Casey" Malinger, 83, of Las Vegas died April 19. A retired Postal Service employee, he was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son; four daughters; one brother; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Milwaukee. Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, Milwaukee, is handling out-of-town arrangements. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled local arrangements.

Sixto C. Molina Jr.

Sixto C. Molina Jr., 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 11, 1937, in the Philippines. A resident for four years, he was a retired government administrative assistant and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia R.; one daughter, Eleanor Schuster, and one son, Brian Molina, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Eleanor A. Pittman

Eleanor A. Pittman, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Pittman of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Berglind of New York; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

John Elliott Pittman

John Elliott Pittman, 41, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 25, 1960, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a self-employed computer programmer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Linea Pittman, and his parents, Jesse and Susane Pittman, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Steven Pittman of Decatur, Texas.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is arranging private services.

Pam Roberts

Pam Roberts, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born June 29, 1945, in Los Angeles. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Larry MacNaught and Richard MacNaught, both of Stockton, Calif., and Mike Roberts of Las Vegas; her mother, Pauline Orwick of El Monte, Calif.; two sisters, Judy Arredondo of El Monte and Marsha Orwick of Las Vegas; one brother, Rick Orwick of Upland, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Chuck Rohweder

Chuck Rohweder, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1942, in Kirksville, Mo. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired hospital operating engineer and a member of Operating Engineers Local 501.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; three sons, Scott Rohweder of Cortez, Colo., Christopher Rohweder of Las Vegas and Bill Rohweder of Ely; one daughter, Mandy Hulse of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Sharon Lynne Rucker

Sharon Lynne Rucker, 55, of Las Vegas and Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1946, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, she was a loan officer for nine years.

She is survived by one daughter, Shanna L. Rucker of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and one brother, John W. Rucker III of Los Angeles.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Garden Chapel.

Maria 'Mona' Sumalinog

Maria "Mona" Sumalinog, 36, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 25, 1966, in the Philippines. A resident for two years, she was a retired changewoman.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Jr.; four daughters, Christina Leidhuaser and Clarissa Lindner, both of the Philippines, Anna Maria Sumalinog of Hawaii and Stephanie Sumalinog of Las Vegas; one son, Tim Sumalinog III of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Rainer Sumalinog of Hawaii and Kabin Sumalinog and Kyla Sumalinog, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Araceli Napa of the Philippines; and three sisters, Luzviminda Remojo and Susan DeCastro, both of the Philippines, and Maria Fe Hill of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charles R. 'Chuck' Trueworthy

Charles R. "Chuck" Trueworthy, 90, of Henderson died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 30, 1911, in Butte, Mont. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired supervisor for a chemical manufacturer, a charter member of Henderson Elks Club and a member of Boulder City Elks and Black Mountain Golf Club.

He is survived by two sons, Danny Trueworthy of Henderson and Robert Trueworthy of Shawnee, Kan.; one brother, Leonard Trueworthy of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two sisters, Ruth Sylvain of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Jay McLaughlin of Seattle; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Betty Weisman

Betty Weisman, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 1, 1909, in St. Louis. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel room server, a member of the Culinary Union and American Cancer Society.

She is survived by one daughter, Irene Kaufman of Las Vegas; one son, Arthur Weisman of Torrance, Calif.; one brother, Hy Eisen of Tigard, Ore.; one sister, Ann Langleben of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Farrell Yeaman

Farrell Yeaman, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 9, 1937, in New Mexico. A resident for 16 years, he owned and operated a bar.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; five sons, Dino Yeaman, Tony Iverson, Farrell Yeaman, Larry James and Jeffrey James; three daughters, Tammy Frederickson, Shauna Lavery and Desaree Stevens; three brothers, Burnell Yeaman, Edy Yeaman and Raydell Yeaman; three sisters, Helen Snedden, Charlotte Moeser and Debbie Sommers; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pauline C. Zeigler

Pauline C. Zeigler, 74, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born May 16, 1927, in Mullens, W.Va. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Kuehn of Washington, D.C., and Ruby Finney of Las Vegas; two sisters, Betty Henderlite of Imperial Beach, Calif., and Sheila Fulks of Piqua, Ohio; one brother, Dale Compton of Piqua; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
