Catricia Ann Bryant

Catricia Ann Bryant, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 11, 1952, in New Mexico. A resident for several years, she was a hairdresser.

She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Norvell of Goodland, Kan.

Services will be held in Kansas. Arrangements are being handled by Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Frederick W. Burgess

Frederick W. Burgess, 80, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Hamilton, Ontario. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired traffic manager for an industrial machinery company, a World War II Navy veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, Randy Burgess of Henderson; one sister, Alice VonDenBuschee of Florida; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Entombment will follow in Palm Mausoleum.

Janice A. Cook

Janice A. Cook, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 12, 1938, in Colorado. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Showboat bingo club.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Robert and Rudy; four daughters, Rhonda, Brenda, Linda and Saundra; and 10 grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Paul 'Denny' Craig

Paul "Denny" Craig, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 11, 1936, in Baker, Ore. A resident for two years, he was a retired landscaper and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Sherri Ferguson of Sandy, Ore., and Melody Northrup of Belgrade, Mont.; one son, Patrick Fisher of Hillsboro, Ore.; two brothers, Lowell Craig of Union, Ore., and Randy Craig of Sacramento; two sisters, Katharine Stauffer and Karen Yates, both of Everett, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Stella M. Dill

Stella M. Dill, 58, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Kansas. A resident for five years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde L.; three sons, Roger A. Miller of Florida, Emery Miller of Newton, Kan., and Phillip L. Dill of Eldorado, Kan.; two daughters, Stella I. Rynott of Las Vegas and Wendy J. Dill of Arkansas; three sisters; five brothers; and six grandchildren.

Services to be held in Eureka, Kan. Arrangements handled by Palm Mortury-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway.

Henry Glazer

Henry Glazer, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Cleveland. A resident for 29 years, he was a construction plumber and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Deborah Borboa and Linda Mason, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Izzy Glazer of Cleveland; and one sister Mary Wagner of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Christopher B. Gordon

Christopher B. Gordon, 33, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1968, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was disabled.

He is survived by his special companion, Sharon Payton, three sons, Christopher Gordon, D'Angelo Gordon and Martell Gordon, one daughter, Shaniaua Gordon, his parents, Ulysses and Gwendolyn Jimerson, one brother, Bruce Johnson, and two sisters, April Jimerson, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Olive June Gorman

Olive June Gorman, 71, of Pahrump died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 21, 1930, in North Dakota. A resident for three years, she was a bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by one son; one sister; and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle; one son, Steve Gorman of Arizona; three daughters, Charlene Williams, Betty Rogers and Shirley Choye, all of California; one sister, Janie Steig of Montana; one brother, Derl Clark of Pahrump; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Kenneth E. Grandin

Kenneth E. Grandin, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care facility. He was born June 1, 1929, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired real estate manager.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four sons, Frank Grandin of Vero Beach, Fla., and Joseph Page, James Page, and Robert Page, all of Niagara Falls; five daughters, Mary-Kay Page and Jeanann Jimenez-Garza, both of Las Vegas, Karen Vickers of New York, and Dawn Hicks and Patricia Troskys, both of Niagara Falls; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Willie James Hawkins

Willie James Hawkins, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1948, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 51 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Hawkins of Las Vegas and Steven Hawkins of Texarkana, Ark.; one daughter, Carman Burney of Las Vegas; his mother, Rosie Hawkins, one brother, Clarence Hawkins, and three sisters, Essie Walker, Bessie Coffield and Verlie Ross, all of Las Vegas; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St.

Guiana Dean 'Gwen' McNeil

Guiana Dean "Gwen" McNeil, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 6, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired Clark County School District office assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; two sons, Michael McNeil of Riverside, Calif., and Michael E. Jackson of Las Vegas; three daughters, Renee Williams, Torsha Barker and Barbara Dexter, all of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be private. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Tabernacle of Praise Church of God in Christ, 3950 N. Buffalo Drive. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Jean Lucille Murrell

Jean Lucille Murrell, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Sandusky, Mich. A resident for 14 years, she was a hospital registered nurse.

Homer B. Relaford

Homer B. Relaford, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born March 7, 1943, in National City, Calif. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Tina Gantt of Sacramento and Teresa Relaford of Las Vegas; three sons, Roy Gantt and William Relaford, both of Las Vegas, and Franklin Gantt of New Orleans; and nine grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Rudolph Richard

Rudolph Richard, 77, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Maine. He was a resident for six years.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; one daughter, Renee Anderson; and four brothers, Lionel Richard, Adrice Richard, Emorie Richard and Anatole Richard, all of Nevada.

Burial will be private. Arrangements were handled by Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Rd., Henderson.

Joseph Leroy Rybock

Joseph Leroy Rybock, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Wolf Point, Mont. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired bartender, a World War II Air Force veteran, and a member of AARP and Elks Lodge 6672.

He is survived by one brother, Larry Rybock of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lucile Heilman of Long Beach, Calif.

Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Earl Albert Schrecongost

Earl Albert Schrecongost, 73, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. He was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Detroit. A resident for six years, he was a retired quality assurance employee, an Army veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one son, Neal Schrecongost of Louisiana; and one daughter, Jill Schrecongost of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Geraldine 'Geri' Shiffman

Geraldine "Geri" Shiffman of Henderson died Aug. 14, in a local health care facility. She was born in Mason City, Iowa. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired Clark County School District teacher and administrator.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Sacks of Schaumburg, Ill.

Raymond E. Tagler

Raymond E. Tagler, 60, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was an exhibit services show floor lead man, and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his wife, Frances "Toots"; one son, David Tagler of Henderson; two daughters, Raelene Tagler of Crestwood, Ill., and Nicole Jacobsen of St. Anne, Ill.; his mother, Cecilia M. Tagler, and two sisters, Arlene McKenzie, and Linda Langland, all of Midlothian, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary-Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church 204 S. Boulder Highway. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park-Henderson.

Margareth Taylor

Margareth Taylor, 87, of Pahrump died Monday in a local health care facility. She was born July 24, 1915, in Washington. A local resident for 20 years, she was a physical therapist and a WAC veteran.

She is survived by one nephew, Fred Gruber of California; and two nieces, Carol Ceaggiano of Florida and Beverly Bowker of California.

Arrangements are being handled by Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Robert P. Umland

Robert P. Umland, 51, of Las Vegas died Aug. 13 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 23, 1950, in Harvey, N.D. A resident for 10 years, he was an attorney.

He is survived by one brother, Kenneth R. Umland of Las Vegas.

James Robert Winder

James Robert Winder, 44, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1957, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired dealer.

He is survived by two sons, Marcus Difiore-Winder of Chicago and James R. Winder II of Las Vegas; his mother, Agnes Winder, and four brothers, Gerson John Winder, Luther L. Winder, Danny M. Winder and Charles Winder II, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Gloria Banks-Weddle and Carol A. Jackson, both of Las Vegas, and Margo Snowden-Francis of Cerritos, Calif.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main.
