Clemon Alexander

Clemon Alexander, 68, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 1934, in Delhi, La. A resident for 59 years, he was a dealer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Katie; four daughters, Kim Alexander, Kandy King and Karen Alexander, all of North Las Vegas, and Nadia Alexander of Las Vegas; three sons, Darren Alexander and Derrick Alexander, both of North Las Vegas, and Kevin Alexander of Collins, Miss.; two sisters, Nezerie V. Johnson of North Las Vegas and Lorraine Federson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Sonny Alexander and Edward Alexander, both of Las Vegas, and Edwin Alexander of California; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Sept. 4 in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Delfino Benavides

Delfino Benavides, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Guadalajara, Mexico. A resident for eight years, he was an upholsterer for a furniture manufacturer.

He is survived by his wife, Olga D.; three sons, Mark A. Benavides of Laughlin, John C Benavides of North Las Vegas and Martin D. Benavides of Ontario, Calif.; one daughter, Judy E. Benavides of Las Vegas; one brother, Gonzalo Benavides of Norwalk, Calif.; one sister, Yolanda Amescua of Compton, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Steven Warren Bierlein

Steven Warren Bierlein, 33, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 26, 1969, in Michigan. A resident for 15 years, he was an operating engineer for an excavating company.

He is survived by his parents, Clifford and Sharon; three brothers, Clifford Jr., Andrew and William; and two sisters, Victoria and Shelley.

Michael Bristow

Michael Bristow, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1938, in England. A resident for 24 years, he was an electronics egineer for the Environmental Protection Agency.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Philippa Flint and Nichole Simpson; and four grandchildren.

Mamie Lillian Bynum

Mamie Lillian Bynum, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 5, 1913, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Ann Dakar of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oklahoma. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Debbie Cates

Debbie Cates, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1956, in Orange, Calif. A resident for 13 years, she was a teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; one son, Scott Miller, and one daughter, Trisha Cates, both of Las Vegas; her parents, Richard and Pat Bray of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; two brothers, Roger Bray of Oceanside, Calif., and David Bray of Monroe, Wash.; and one grandchild.

Lloyd Collins

Lloyd Collins, 76, of Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Washington. A resident for six years, he was a truck driver, an Air Force veteran for 21 years, a former commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

He is survived by three sons, Raymond Collins of Reno, Jared Austin of Las Vegas and Rick Austin of Georgia; four daughters, Trudes Barr of Las Vegas, Senari Polk of Indiana, Jodee Erpenbeck of Michigan and Linda Coety of Calif.; many grandchildren and grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

Milton L. Crocker

Milton L. Crocker, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Rochester, N.H. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired chef and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; three sons, Mark of Amsbury, Mass., Paul of Byfield, Mass., and Craig Malky of Las Vegas; five daughters, Linda LeMay of Beverly, Mass., Tamara Johnson, Anna Nelson and Debbie McNier, all of Las Vegas, and Debbie McDonald of Byfield; one brother, Tom Crocker of Las Vegas; one sister, Elizabeth Day of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

William C. Driscoll

William C. Driscoll, 70, of Las Vegas died Aug. 9 in Las Vegas. He was born July 12, 1932, in McKees Rocks, Pa. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired food and beverage manager and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Tara Stock of Las Vegas and Candace Bedwell of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in Word of Grace Church, 3825 Melody Lane. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mohsen Fatemi

Mohsen Fatemi, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1958, in Ahwaz, Iran. A resident for 18 years, he was a dealer.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie; one son, Ralph Wayne Cascasan of Las Vegas; his mother, Alieh Fatemi, four brothers, Ali Fatemi, Reza Fatemi, Jamal Fatemi and Seyed Mohamed Fatemi, and one sister, Raffokh Fatemi, all of Iran.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Jennie Galloway, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Syracuse, N.Y. A resident for 37 years, she was an accounts receivable clerk for a department store.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; one brother, Dominic Rotto of Syracuse; and two sisters, Rose Vollmer of Syracuse and Lucy Clark of Dallas.

Harry Thomas 'Tom' Gierloff

Harry Thomas "Tom" Gierloff, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 19, 1934, in Cleveland. A resident for two years, he was a retired lather and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae; one daughter, Shirley Elaine Monroe of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

John T. Golemme

John T. Golemme, 37, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1964, in Valley Stream, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was a hotel director.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Angelina and Ralph Disi of Margate, Fla.; two sisters, Linda Fiorentino of Hollywood, Fla., and Maryann Pascal of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Bill Golemme and Mario Disi of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Leonard P. Grant

Leonard P. Grant, 55, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 12, 1947. He worked on the drop team at Terrible's Lakeside and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ruben Grant.

He is survived by his wife, Clarissa; three daughters, Krystin Grant of Las Vegas and Tonya Grant and Tamika Grant, both of New York City; his mother, Ethel Grant of New York City; four sisters, Cynthia Foy, Carol Hill, Shirley Ward and Dorette Manning; two brothers, Lloyd Grant and Willie Goines; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held outdoors Friday at Terrible's Lakeside. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Lula Hudspeth

Lula Hudspeth, 95, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A resident for many years, she was born July 27, 1907, in Texas.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Holcomb of Chatsworth, Calif.

Samuel Lee King

Samuel Lee King, 54, of Las Vegas died Aug. 21 in a local hospital. He was born July 26, 1948, in New Orleans. A resident for 52 years, he was a retired laborer.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J.; one daughter, Vina L. Henderson, his mother, Leila M. King, two sisters, Verdia Turner and Jackie King, and one brother, Adrian King, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Chapel, Main.

David Allan Lawton

David Allan Lawton, 47, of Las Vegas died Aug. 21 in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1954, in Kansas. A resident for 12 years, she was an aircraft stocker for Boeing.

She is survived by her father, Richard Lawton; one brother, Robert Clark; and one sister, Charlene Oropesa.

Virginia Long

Virginia Long, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 8, 1941, in California. A resident for 44 years, she was a food server for a catering company.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharlene Long of Mississippi; and 10 grandchildren.

Pierce James Lyons

Pierce James Lyons, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in New York. He was born May 12, 1924, in Ventura, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Navy veteran and a member of Fleet Reserve Association 19.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Kevin Denicker; two daughters, Char O'Conner and Arlene Clubine; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Aurora N. McNally

Aurora N. McNally, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Mexico. A resident for 13 years, she was a public relations representative for a utility company, a volunteer at Nathan Adelson Hospice and a member of the Donor Awareness Support Group.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L.; one son, Shawn McNally of Pahrump; two sisters, Marguarite Aguirre and Aida Anidino, both of San Antonio; two brothers, Aaron Delpozo of South Bend, Ind., and John Delpozo of San Antonio; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1:30 p.m. until a 3:30 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Sam Messina, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1925, in Cleveland. A resident for many years, he was a steel processor.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa.

Gaillard R. Peck

Gaillard R. Peck, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1915, in Illinois. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Air Force colonel and command pilot, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, commander of Laredo Air Force Base 1963-1965, director of Laredo Chamber of Commerce and a retired director of Laredo International Airport.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, and four brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Gaillard Peck Jr. of Las Vegas and James M. Peck of Navarre of Florida; one sister, Arkie Hill of Worley, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Loring Primeaux Perrott

Loring Primeaux Perrott, 36, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A janitorial service owner, he was born Dec. 22, 1965, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by three brothers, Byron, Hayden and Thomas.

Eugenia C. Roberts

Eugenia C. Roberts, 89, of Lake Oswego, Ore., died Friday in a care center. She was born Aug. 26, 1912, in San Jose, Calif. A Southern Nevada resident for 60 years, she owned and operated Roberts School of Dance where she taught ballet, was founder of the Civic Ballet of Las Vegas, a Las Vegas Parks and Recreational assistant, a member of the Soroptimists of Greater Las Vegas and St. Jude's Auxiliary and was treasurer of Actors Guild.

She is survived by two daughters, E. Claire Rundles of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Camille Rose Ortiz of Burbank, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Lawrence Rossman

Lawrence Rossman, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1921, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired insurance agent, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons and Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Toni S.; one son, Ronald Louis; one daughter, Vicki Margo Rockoff; and four grandchildren.

Jill Gladys Spangler

Jill Gladys Spangler, 77, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born March 29, 1925, in Queensland, Australia. A longtime resident of Southern Nevada, she worked in a hotel gift shop.

She is survived by one brother, Jack Shaw of Queensland.

A gathering was scheduled at 1 p.m. today at Jill Spangler's home. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Lonnie Dale Vandiver, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Rolla, Mo. A resident for nine months, he was a golfer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rita.

Maxine L. Yates

Maxine L. Yates, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born April 23, 1938, in Stevensville, Mont. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired teacher's aide for handicapped children for the Clark County School District and worked as a pre-flight screener at McCarran International Airport.

She is survived by one daughter, Renae D. Berriola of Las Vegas; two sons, James V. Smith of Logan, Utah, and Ronald A. Williams of Las Vegas; two sisters, Alice Jones of Jensen, Utah, and V. Joyce Horton of Seattle; one stepbrother, Rex Smith of Ogden, Utah; and six grandchildren.
