Teachers, artists receive grants

CARSON CITY -- Ten teachers and artists, including four from Clark County, will share $7,014 in professional development grants, the Nevada Arts Council said Tuesday.
The council said $713 will go to Angela Brasser, a photography teacher at Durango High School in Las Vegas, to attend a wedding photography workshop in Santa Fe, N. M., and Diane Bush, an arts educator for the Clark County School District, will receive $750 to lead 450 students per day through the Artrain in Las Vegas.
Mimi Diehl, an arts educator for the school district in Henderson, received $713 to attend an intensive three-day workshop on intermediate glass fusing in Sacramento, and Mindy Krasner of Multiple Dance Studios and Schools in Las Vegas will get $750 to attend the Summer Dance Institute for Teachers in Seattle.
