Henderson mayor to be honored

Henderson Mayor Jim Gibson will be honored Saturday at a Humanitarian Award Dinner at the Four Seasons.
Gibson will be the 22nd Southern Nevadan to receive the prestigious Humanitarian Award presented annually by the Denver-based National Jewish Medical and Research Center. Tickets are $250. For information or to purchase tickets call (800) 821-3670.
Gibson is active in civic affairs and serves on the Las Vegas Monorail Board of Directors and the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Commission's Air Quality Committee.
