Gus G. Alexander Sr.

Gus G. Alexander Sr., 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Arta, Greece. A resident for two years, he was a retired restaurant owner and a member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association.

He is survived by his wife, Eleni G.; two sons, Gus G. Alexander Jr., of Shreveport, La., and Jimmy Alexander of Las Vegas; and one sister, Maria Papachristos of Arta.

A rosary was scheduled at 4 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park Northwest.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Harriett M. Bartusch

Harriett M. Bartusch, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born March 10, 1922, in Roseland, Ill. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of IOF.

She is survived by two daughters, Laquida Benton of Indiana and Sharon Anema of Arkansas; three sons, Wayne Bartusch of Las Vegas and Lonnie Bartusch and Jerry Bartusch, both of Illinois; one brother, Lee Larsen of California; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ronald D. Best

Ronald D. Best, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1932, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired PBX installer and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce M.; one son, Ronald Dale Best II of Fraser, Mich.; two daughters, Debra Schemansky of Royal Oak, Mich., and Denise J. Best of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mable E. Burtnett

Mable E. Burtnett, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 15, 1910, in Sewickley Township, Pa. A longtime resident, she was a case worker.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth M. Burtnett.

Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Delphine Cimaglia

Delphine Cimaglia, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 19, 1933, in Tennessee. A resident for seven years, she was the president of a water softner company.

She is survived by one son, Kelly Cimaglia; one daughter, Sherry Wauchek; four sisters, Amelia Beigel, Rose Batts, Nell Saunders and Nora Vollendorf, all of Nashville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

Services and burial will be in Nashville. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, handled arrangements.

Mable V. Crabill

Mable V. Crabill, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Alabama. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired kitchen worker.

She is survived by three daughters, Patsy L. Mize of Ohatchee, Ala., Navice Phillips of Walls, Miss., and Myra Ebersohl of Barstow, Calif.; eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Patricia Kay Davidson

Patricia Kay Davidson, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 8, 1936, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for seven years, she owned a dog kennel.

She is survived by three sons, Raymond Davidson of Wayne, Mich., Rory Davidson and Robert Davidson of Taylor, Mich.; one sister, Joyce of Baltimore; two brothers, Thomas Latimer of Seattle and David Latimer of New Castle, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and three great-granchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Rose Giacomaggio

Rose Giacomaggio, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born May 12, 1910, in New York, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Gioulos.

Burial will be in Farmingdale, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Terrance B. Hazelett

Terrance B. Hazelett, 24, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. Born March 15, 1977, in Indiana, he was a resident for many years.

He is survived by his mother, Pamela Hazelett; his father and stepmother, Willie M. and Resetta Hazelett; one brother, Christopher Hazelett of Houston; and his grandparents, John Flack, Melvina Robinson, Marcella Wilson, Edna Hazelett and Rose Hazelett, all of Gary, Ind.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Hurley Lee Henley

Hurley Lee Henley, 59, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. He was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Las Vegas. A Las Vegas resident for 20 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Bonnie Green of Pahrump; one son, Rickey Henley of Las Vegas; two sisters, Beth Wheeler of Las Vegas and Nylene Binkley of Junction City, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Charleston Heights Church of the Nazarine, 6219 W. Washington Ave. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, Pahrump, handled arrangements.

Ralph Marion Hobbs

Ralph Marion Hobbs, 81, Las Vegas died Feb. 18 in a local care. He was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Illinois. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired real estate agent, bartender, World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by one sister, Margaret Arnold of San Jose, Ill.; and one brother, Clyde Hobbs of Decatur, Ill.

Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Doretha J. Holloway

Doretha J. Holloway, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Winston Salem, N.C. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Simeon; two daughters, Kay Sondra Holloway and Dominique Holloway, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Terrance Holloway of Lancaster, Calif., Simeon Holloway Jr., of Las Vegas and Timothy Holloway of New York; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Desert Springs United Methodist Church, 109 Dawn Isle. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Mildred P. House

Mildred P. House, 97, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1904, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Blanche Henthorn of Sylmar, Calif.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ouida M. Hudson

Ouida M. Hudson, 94, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1907, in Atkins, Ark. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by one foster son, Merle Turley, and one foster daughter, Dorothy Turley, both of Boulder City.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Boulder City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Pearl C. Johnson

Pearl C. Johnson, 95, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 11, 1906, in Albion, N.Y. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired maid.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Tashman of La Habra, Calif.; one son, Gary Tashman of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Mary E. Kronberg

Mary E. Kronberg, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. Born July 1, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, she was an administrative assistant.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Kronberg and Kenneth Kronberg, both of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Bonny Kronberg of Toledo and Michelle Ray of Waterville, Ohio; one brother, James Morse of Monroe, Mich.; and one sister, Doris Price of Toledo.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson.

Virginia Matthews

Virginia Matthews, 94, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 7, 1907, in Mississippi. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Enychey DeJour Miller

Enychey DeJour Miller, an infant, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 5, 2002, in North Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Shelishia Glass, his father, Detrick Miller, and his grandparents, Debra Jones, Billy and Shirley Miller, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. American Burial & Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Lenora I. Milner

Lenora I. Milner, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 18, 1936, in Salida, Colo. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Tom Milner of Broomfield, Colo. and Don Milner of Las Vegas; and two daughters, Susan Verheyen of Springfield, Ohio, and Mary Ann Allen of Sandy Valley.

Services are private. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joey K. Muller

Joey K. Muller, 17, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1984, in Kealakekua, Hawaii. A resident for five years, he was a student.

He is survived by his parents, Antonio and Louann Catano, and two sisters, Porshea Muller and Lexi Catano, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Richard and Minerva Muller of St. George, Utah, and Macrina and Andres Catano of San Fernando, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Minnie Orenstein

Minnie Orenstein, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Poland. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired school crossing guard and a member of Temple Beth-Sholom Seniors, Jewish Conversation Group, Sisterhood of Temple Beth-Sholom and Retired Public Employees of Nevada.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangments.

Robert C. Phillips

Robert C. Phillips, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1918, in Olathe, Kan. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired automotive designer and loved playing cribbage and pinochle.

He is survived by two sons, Don Phillips of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Bill Phillips of Ventura, Calif., one daughter, Lisa Phillips of Littleton, Colo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Benedict J. Piekarski

Benedict J. Piekarski, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Minnesota. A resident for 13 years, he was a mechanic for a cement company and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He is survived by three brothers.

Services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. American Burial & Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangments.

Julian Pineda

Julian Pineda, 4, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Los Angeles. Born Dec. 12, 1997, in Mexico, he was a resident for three years.

He is survived by his parents, Ricardo and Josefina Pineda of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ernesto Pineda of Las Vegas and Elias Pinedo of Mexico; one sister, Claudia Pineda, and his grandparents, Esthela Soto and Martha Perez, all of Mexico.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

John D. Price

John D. Price, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Winston-Salem, N.C. A resident for two years, he was an Air Force veteran and a sales manager.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one son, John D. Price of Jamaica, N.Y.; and one sister, Pearl Penn of Columbus, Ohio.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Second Baptist Church, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangments.

John M. Racutt

John M. Racutt, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1943, in Uniontown, Pa. A resident for five years, he was a plumber, Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Jennifer Bell of Eastlake, Ohio, and Lisa Racutt of Durango, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Susan Bandy of Willowick, Ohio; two stepsons, Richard Eacott of Wickliffe, Ohio, and Robert Eacott of Phoenix; his mother, Mary Racutt Sufilka of Willowick; three sisters, Connie Herda of Willowick, Rosemary Studnicha of Macedonia, Ohio, and Virginia Chamblin of Eastlake, Ohio; two brothers, George Sufilka and Steven Racutt, both of Mentor, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Lanoma Reed, 81, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Columbus, Ga. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a retired aerospace worker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn L. Reed and Carla J. Morrow, both of Henderson; one son, Larry J. Reed of Lompoc, Calif.; four brothers, Moses Pitts of Orcutt, Calif., Robert L. Pitts of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Maurry L. Pitts of Norfolk, Va., and Zandra Hill of Santa Barbara, Calif.; three sisters, Eunice C. Stewart of San Diego and Daisy E. Martin and Sylvia L. Pugh, both of Santa Barbara, Calif.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Phillip A. Ryan, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 2, 1920, in Molalla, Ore. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired aircraft engineer.

He is survived by one son, Michael E. Ryan, and one daughter, Patricia L. Pope, both of California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dennis Franklin Sanchez

Dennis Franklin Sanchez, 49, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 8, 1952, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 11 1/2 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; one daughter, Shelby Sharleen Sanchez of Henderson; his father, Ray Sanchez; his mother, Lorraine, one brother, Kenney Sanchez, and two sisters, Elaine Madria and Patsy Rodriguez, all of Pueblo.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. today in Warm Springs Baptist Church, 2075 W. Warm Springs Road, followed by a private burial. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Rochelle Sax

Rochelle Sax, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 2, 1947, in St. Louis. A resident for 30 years, she was a police officer and a board member fo the SPCA.

She is survived by one sister, Annette Szawan of Elliott City, Md.

A memorial service 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Lori Speare, 40, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1961, in Springfield, Mass. A resident for one year, she was an accounts receivable worker.

She is survived by her companion, Rusty Trask of Las Vegas; one son, Jerome Speare of Las Vegas; her mother, Agnes Speare, and one brother, Robert Speare, both of Wells, Maine.

Visitation is scheduled 4 until 6 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Bonnie M. Stephens

Bonnie M. Stephens, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 24, 1923, Bucyrus, N.D. A resident for nine years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Gene C.; two sons, Craig C. Stephens of Tucson and Tod J. Stephens of Pasadena, Calif.; one sister, Patrice Toensing of Yuma, Ariz.; two brothers, O.D. Askland and Thomas C. Askland, both of Fargo, N.D.; and two grandchildren.
