Letter: School crisis as urgent as Yucca Mountain battle

I see that Nevada officials are considering using $10 million from our emergency "rainy day" fund to fight Yucca Mountain by advertising in other states. Perhaps a look at Nevada's school system will persuade them that we face an urgent emergency. While the school crisis does not affect tourism, it is of equal importance.

Hopefully they will realize the need to tap into the rainy day fund to help the current crisis in our schools.
