Edward A. Abdallah

Edward A. Abdallah, 78, died Saturday in a local care center. He was born July 15, 1923, in Connellsville, Pa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired aerospace instruction book writer, World War II Army veteran, member of Disabled American Veterans and National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Edward S. Abdallah of Sheridan, Wyo.; two daughters, Candy Riggs and Cindy Roche, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Fred Abdallah; one sister, Villa McCarty, both of Tucson; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Rozanne Elizabeth Beauchamp

Rozanne Elizabeth Beauchamp, 60, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Wisconsin. A resident for 12 years, she was an architect.

She is survived by one son, Jason Beauchamp; one daughter, Justine Miller; her mother, Sarah Miller; and three grandchildren.

Sui Lan Chan

Sui Lan Chan, 48, died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1953, in Hong Kong. A resident for 24 years, she was a dealer. She is survived by her husband, Hector Zaldana; one daughter, Lucia; and two sons, King Chan and Lincoln Chan, all of Las Vegas; her parents, Fun Liu and Hang Liu of Oakland, Calif.; four brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be Paradise Memorial Gardens. American Burial & Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Victor A. Chill

Victor A. Chill, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Newcastle, Pa. A resident for 18 years, he was an inspector in stainless steel manufacturing and worked for Flowline Corp. for 40 years, a member of the Holy Name Society and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; one son Victor R. Chill Jr.; two daughters, Donna DiThomas and Dana Liebler, both of Butler, Pa.; three brothers, Albert Chill, Anthony Chill and Joseph Chill; and one sister, Eleanor Schepp, all of Newcastle; and three grandchildren.

Services are scheduled, 4 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Sallie Gill

Sallie Gill, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Sardis, Ala. A resident for 22 years, she was a cosmetologist.

She is survived by four sons, Leonard Gill Jr., of Las Vegas, Dr. Gus Gill of Los Angeles, Dr. Tepper Gill of Reston, Va., and Len R. Gill of Detroit; one daughter, Lucille Rousell, and one brother, Willie Campbell, both of Detroit; one sister, Aldora McGuire of Sardis; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be in Plymouth, Mich.

Anna M. Grudis

Anna M. Grudis, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 6, 1910, in Illinois. A resident for 28 years, she was a telephone operator.

Albert L. Guy

Albert L. Guy, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Ada, Okla. A resident for 30 years, he was a drywall taper and a member of Painters Local 159.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Guy; two daughters, Terrie Taylor and Dawn Guy, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Allen Guy of San Jose, Calif., and Michael Guy of Las Vegas; one sister, Geneva Bennett of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Barney Guy of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Max Eaton Harrington

Max Eaton Harrington, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Iowa. A resident for 10 years, he was a bank manager and Army Reserve veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Maxine Lundren and Kay Fisher.

Services will be held at a later date in Nebraska. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd., North, handled arrangements.

Ethan Tyler Hess

Ethan Tyler Hess, 2 days, died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 2002, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Nicole Rivero and his father, Jason Hess, both of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Sara Mitchell of Waynesville, Ohio, and Deandria Smith, Michael Hess and Shelly and Christine Moore, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 5825 Eldora Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Elsie Wessely Jones

Elsie Wessely Jones, 93, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 27, 1908, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Justin.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Boulder City Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Clinton Roy Kinard

Clinton Roy Kinard, 82, died Thursday in a local care center. He was born June 17, 1919, in Brooksville, Miss. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Air Force colonel and World War II veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Jackie Kinard of Henderson, Maureen Appleton of San Ramon, Calif., and Wendy Barnett of Edwardsville, Ill.; one son, Michael Kinard of Mission Viejo, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 2:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Nancy L. Lee

Nancy L. Lee, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1914 in Tuxedo, N.Y. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired accountant and World War II Air Force veteran.

She is survived by one sister, Katherine Trojan of Suffern, N.Y.; three brothers, Ernest Catanese of Colorado and Ralph Catanese and Frank Catanese, both of New Jersey.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

Julie Lunt

Julie Lunt, 25, of Las Vegas died Feb. 11 in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1976 in San Diego. A resident for 25 years, she was an entertainer.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle; her mother, Mildred Moon; one sister, Melodie Jobe of Las Vegas; and one brother Joseph Sanosa of Texas.

Charles Ernest "Chick" MacWilliam

Charles Ernest "Chick" MacWilliam, 72, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for six years, he was an Air Force pilot.

He is survived by his wife, Taleeta; three sons, Michael Lee Ware of Henderson and Charles Nelson MacWilliam and Dennis James Ware, both of California; one sister, Deborah MacWilliam-Stamile of New Hampshire; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James E. May

James E. May, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 6, 1933, in Houston. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired hotel engineer, a member of Engineers Local 501 and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna; one son, Robert May of Las Vegas; one sister, Kathleen Venable of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Robert May of Pearland, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

Samuel Meyer

Samuel Meyer, 82, died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1919, in New York. A resident for 19 years, he was a fur store owner and Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Adelina "Del"; two daughters, Michele Trent of Yorba Linda, Calif., Melinda Archbold of Santa Ana, Calif.; one brother, Sol Meyer of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Services are scheduled 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd., North, handled arrangements.

Melania Miranda

Melania Miranda, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 27, 1915, in Puerto Rico. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, George Figueroa of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Olga Antoniadis of Las Vegas, Sonia Whatts of Tampa and Virginia Whatts of Puerto Rico; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy I. Norwood

Dorothy I. Norwood, 78, died March 15 in a hospital. She was born March 30, 1923, in a Harrington, Kan. A former Las Vegas resident for 20 years, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Pioche.

She is survived by her husband, Fred of Baker City, Ore.; two daughters, Marci Seltzer of Las Vegas and Nancy Curtiss of Baker City; one son, Fred Norwood Jr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Pat Weekley of Clovis, N.M.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Maxine Oliver

Maxine Oliver, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1931, in Shoals, Ind. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer; two daughters, Billie Navel of Las Vegas and Micki Basile of Mission, Kan.; two sons, Mark Oliver and John Oliver, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty A. Howard of Raytown, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel, Main.

Rita May Purvis

Rita May Purvis, 72, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born June 15, 1929, in London. A resident for 12 years, she was a donut shop owner and survived the London blitz during World War II.

She is survived by one daughter, Christine DeCorte of Henderson; one son, Steven Purvis of Northridge, Calif.; one brother, William Palfrey of London; two sisters, Gladys Clements of California and Elsie Massey of London; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Michael J. Sharruf, 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born, Oct. 24, 1944, in the Philippines. A resident for 25 years, he was a real estate agent.

He is survived by one brother, David of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; one sister, Elizabeth Moran of Las Vegas.

John Soller

John Soller, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1948 in Las Crosse, Wis. A resident for 15 years, he was a computer programmer and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Debra Lynn Kutz and Sandra Lynn Soller, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Sue King of Montana and Nan Forsythe of California; two brothers, Tony of North Dakota and Joe of California; and five grandchildren.

J. Sue Wright, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born June 24, 1944, in Cleveland. A resident for two years, she was a retired flight attendant.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Steve of Tucson; one brother, Emory Carodine Jr. of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
