Irene S. Andrews

Irene S. Andrews, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Kanopolis, Kan. A resident for 12 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Pappan, and one son, Bill Borg, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Ruth Montgomery of Pratt, Kan., Betty Holmes of Phoenix and Cleo Avery of California; two brothers, Harvey Mundee and Bill "Jr." Mundee, both of California; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Wayne Antepenko

Wayne Antepenko, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1956, in Berwyn, Ill. A resident for 20 years, he was a self-employed landscaper.

He is survived by his father, Anton Antepenko Sr., and one brother, Anton Antepenko Jr., both of Shakopee, Minn.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Illinois.

E. Gary Cortez

E. Gary Cortez, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born April 1, 1954, in Gardner, Colo. A resident for 45 years, he was a television assistant in the entertainment industry.

He is survived by one son, Danny; one daughter, Katie; his parents, Louis and Bernice; three brothers, Ron, Mark and Jamie, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Debbie McKay and Louella Zeh, both of Las Vegas, and Stephanie Cortez of Illinois.

A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Arthur A. Espinosa

Arthur A. Espinosa, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Cimarron, N.M. A resident for 57 years, he was a retired truck operator for the Union Pacific Railroad and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three stepdaughters, Donna Charles of Las Vegas, Linda Vybiral of Shingle Springs, Calif., and Elizabeth Smith of Alturas, Calif.; one brother, Toby Espinosa of Denver; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Aida C. Fuentes-Canisal

Aida C. Fuentes-Canisal, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Vina del Mar, Chile. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired jewelry designer.

She is survived by one daughter, Maria del Carmen Canisal-Bentley, and one son, Jeorge Antonio Canisal, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Oscar Green Jr.

Oscar Green Jr., 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 28, 1918, in Vidalia, La. A resident for 62 years, he was a retired head porter at the Tropicana and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by his wife, Olivia; one son, Elijah Green of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 F St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Candis Elaine Hickam

Candis Elaine Hickam, 52, of Henderson died Friday. A resident for three years, she was born Sept. 17, 1949, in California.

She is survived by one son, Monte Maas of Henderson; two stepsons, Brent Hickam of Cornelius, Ore., and Todd Hickam of Lynnwood, Wash.; her father, Glenn Graham of Hood River, Ore.; one sister, Sonya Mae Milam of Battle Ground, Wash.; and one brother, Rick Graham of Vancouver, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Mary N. Hill

Mary N. Hill, 80, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Oglethorpe, Ga. A resident for three years, she was a retired registered nurse and a World War II veteran of the Navy Nursing Corps.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sr.; two sons, Kenneth Hill Jr. of San Jacinto, Calif., and Craig Hill of LaQuinta, Calif.; one daughter, Susan Johnson of Palmdale, Calif.; one brother, William Hood of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Jane Nicosia of Hampton, Va.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Entombment will be in Melrose Abbey Memorial Park, Santa Ana, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ethel Mae McMahon

Ethel Mae McMahon, 83, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Graettinger, Iowa. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Julia Gregg of Manchester, Mich., and Theresa Putz of Schererville, Ind.; three sons, Charles McMahon of Chino Hills, Calif., John McMahon of Arvilla, N.D., and Michael McMahon of Grand Forks, N.D.; two sisters, Thelma and Eleanor; two brothers, Harold and LeRoy; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Ranch for Children Inc., 100 St. Jude, Boulder City, NV 89005.

Freda Simmons

Freda Simmons, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 25, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker and a World War II veteran of the Women's Ambulance Defense Corps of America.

She is survived by two sons, David Simmons of Valencia, Calif., and Richard Simmons of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
