Leo E. Anderson

Leo E. Anderson, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Walthill, Neb. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired supervisor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, owner of Anderson Appraisal in Las Vegas, former coach for Donna Knutson Youth Foundation, adjunct professor of appraisal at UNLV, graduate of University of Nebraska, a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Elks, Amvets and Toastmasters.

He is survived by two sons, Mark J. Anderson of Las Vegas and Roger W. Anderson of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Candice A. Poole of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Marcia A. Siegel of Westwood, N.J.; one sister, Opal A. Harrison of Omaha, Neb.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Burial will be private. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Opportunity Village, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.

Nicholas F. Arbuso

Nicholas F. Arbuso, 75, of Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a retired sheet metal specialist and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Garnett Kendel Arbuso; one son, Joseph Arbuso of California; five stepdaughters, Sue Macias, Linda Fuller and Garnette Sherman, all of California, Roseann McClashey of Colorado and Betty Clune of Washington state; one stepson, John Kinder of California; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 4 p.m. today in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Phyllis Beverly Bayer

Phyllis Beverly Bayer, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Farmer City, Ill. A resident for 17 years, she was a member of the Elks.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Harriett Lanier of Las Vegas and Connie Drayes of Los Lunas, N.M.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled private arrangements.

Shirley A. Bowers

Shirley A. Bowers, 57, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 1, 1945, in Phoenix. A resident for 16 years, she was a purchasing clerk.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie B. Rumpel of North Las Vegas and Tracey Reed of Las Vegas; one son, James W. Bowers of Henderson; one sister, Barbara Lackey of Waco, Texas; two brothers, Sagley Crosslin and Ronald Crosslin, both of Robinson, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Esther Braemer

Esther Braemer, 82, of Ahwatukee, Ariz., died Saturday in an Arizona hospice. She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Canada. A former Las Vegas resident for 23 years, she was a retired department store sales clerk.

She is survived by one daughter, Zoe Shaffer of Southaven, Miss.; one son, Jeffrey Braemer of Phoenix; two sisters, Ethel and Annette, and one brother, Nathan, all of Canada; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is private. Services were scheduled at noon today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Charles W. Cavanaugh

Charles W. Cavanaugh, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Freeport, Ill. A resident for 15 years, he retired as a professional ice skater after 37 years of entertaining.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; and two sons, Dennis H. Cavanaugh of Jersey City, N.J., and Martin Del Cavanaugh of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Jan Ellen Daniel

Jan Ellen Daniel, 42, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 18, 1960, in Petaluma, Calif. A resident for 41 years, she owned a construction business.

She is survived by one son, B.J. Daniel, and one daughter, Janelle Kuperus, both of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Connie Irving of Pryor, Okla.; her father and stepmother, Pete and Jean Miller of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Robert Neal and James Neal, both of Portland, Ore.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Cryptside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Walter J. Eisenbach

Walter J. Eisenbach, 59, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1942, in East Orange, N.J. A resident for 10 years, he was a computer engineer in the gaming industry and a contributor to St. Jude's Ranch for Children in Boulder City.

He is survived by three daughters, Anita Murray of Atlanta, Gail Eisenbach of Saco, Maine, and Bonnie Rende of Ayer, Mass.; two sons, Mark Eisenbach of Biddeford, Maine, and Allan Eisenbach of Saco; one stepdaughter, Sandra Morris Aranda, and two stepsons, Edward Morris and Kevin Morris, all of California; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Johanna M. Hamilton

Johanna M. Hamilton, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 9, 1951, in Bellevue, Pa. A resident for 22 years, she was a teacher and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Harold G.; two sons, Eric M. Hamilton and Paul Hamilton, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Ruth A. Moran, and three brothers, Thomas Moran, Keith Moran and Mark Moran, all of Pennsylvania.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to a noon service Tuesday in Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Issac C. Linsey

Issac C. Linsey, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 29, 1951, in New Orleans. A resident for 16 years, he was a member of Local 872.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; four sons, Corey Linsey, Issac Linsey, Keith Baker and Prentice Linsey, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Cassie Linsey and Victoria Linsey, both of Las Vegas, and Tonya Singleton of Dallas; his mother, Willia Mae McCullom, two brothers, Randolph Linsey and Prentice McCullom, and one sister, Joyce, all of New Orleans; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Tabernacle of Faith, 2030 Yale St., North Las Vegas. A private burial will follow.

Marie C. Novotny

Marie C. Novotny, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry F. Novotny of Las Vegas and Dennis C. Novotny of Kingman, Ariz.; two sisters, Genevieve Szalat of Phoenix and Carlene Tufo of Vermont; two brothers, Charles W. Boske Jr. of Chicago and Donald Boske of Missouri; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 131 N . Ninth St. Burial will be in San Bruno, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 LasVegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Archie C. Sanford

Archie C. Sanford, 70, of Pahrump died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Janesville, Wis. A former Las Vegas resident and most recently a Pahrump resident for 10 years, he was a retired grocery store manager and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by four daughters, Laurie Shunn of Pahrump, Marcy Miller of St. George, Utah, Susan Hiller of Boise, Idaho, and Marsha Sanford of Grand Junction, Colo.; two sons, Paul Sanford and David Kallestad, both of Pahrump; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
