Deenya M. Boelman

Deenya M. Boelman, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 12, 1942, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for 14 years, she was an operating room nurse and a member of the Francisco Garces Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Hempel of St. Peters, Mo.; one son, Leslie Boelman, her mother, Pauline W. Smith, and one brother, Andrew E. Drake, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Rhona I. Carter

Rhona I. Carter, 84, of Las Vegas died Nov. 5 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Royal, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired public school teacher in Nebraska and Missouri and a member of the Poetry Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia J. Victor of Henderson and Sheryl Lynn Carter of Las Vegas; one brother, Darwin Dusseau of Nebraska; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Kylee Joyce Cedeno

Kylee Joyce Cedeno, 21 weeks, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 16, 2002, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Enrique and Christina Rangel-Cedeno, her grandparents, Joey and Ricky Rangel, and her great-grandparents, Beverly and Larry Lorens, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Pearl Chars

Pearl Chars, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Milwaukee. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Vander Veldt, and one son, Robert Chars, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be noon Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Freda Kay Eldridge

Freda Kay Eldridge, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 6, 1944, in Portsmouth, Ohio. A resident for 17 years, she was a school district custodian.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam of Ohio; three sisters, Brenda Pahor and Edith Fultz, both of Las Vegas, and Linda Salyer of Ohio; one brother, Earl Evans and Clyde Evans, both of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Violet Fletcher

Violet Fletcher, 89, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 9, 1913, in Louisa, Ky. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired presser at a dry cleaning establishment.

She is survived by one daughter, Rose Jones of Henderson; one son, Tim Hammond of Huntington, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-3:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Bill Gonzales

Bill Gonzales, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Albuquerque, N.M. A resident for 16 years, he was a hotel reservationist.

He is survived by his companion, Harry Proctor, and one son, Asa Proctor II, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Rochelle Proctor of Gillespie, Ill.; two brothers, Solomon Gonzales of Albuquerque and Leo Gonzales of Denver; four sisters, Rosemary Stage, Maria Saiz and Rita Muller, all of Albuquerque, and Margaret Solis of Los Lunas, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Friday in Metropolitan Community Church of Las Vegas, 1140 Almond Tree Lane. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Fred A. Grams

Fred A. Grams, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Marlin, Texas. A resident for seven years, he was a retired executive for an office furniture company and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta B.; one son, Bradley N. Grams of Carefree, Ariz.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 1-4 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Constance B. Hasty

Constance B. Hasty, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 20, 1915, in Nebraska City, Neb. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Fred Hasty and Dan Hasty, both of Las Vegas, and James Baker of Pahrump; two daughters, Sharon Belsher and Starr B. Hasty, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon-4 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10:30 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Charles Edwin Hatchell

Charles Edwin Hatchell, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1952, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 24 years, he owned and operated Crystal Springs Health Products.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne; one daughter, Brittany Hatchell of Las Vegas; and one brother, George Hatchell of Florence, S.C.

Ronald R. Hinshaw

Ronald R. Hinshaw, 59, of Las Vegas died Nov. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Los Angeles. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his companion, Rena Vetuski of Las Vegas; and one cousin, Ronald L. Hinshaw of Redlands, Calif.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Linda Jean Johnson

Linda Jean Johnson, 50, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born June 8, 1952, in Arkansas. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Shawanna Lynnette Johnson of New York and Sonya W. Johnson and Sandy Marie Johnson, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Delvan W. Johnson, Marcus Raymond Speight and Michael Corde Johnson, and two sisters, Betty J. Wilkerson and Etha Mae Dumas, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, John Henry Speight of Arkansas and Ernest Speight, Johnny Earl Speight and Dovan Speight, all of Las Vegas; and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Valerie Lueck

Valerie Lueck, 19, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 19, 1982, in Ogden, Utah. A lifelong resident, she was a child care specialist.

She is survived by one daughter, Katlelin Lueck of Las Vegas; her parents, Becky and Craig Lueck of Salt Lake City; four sisters, Danielle Lueck of Salt Lake City, Traci Lueck and Dawn Lueck, both of Las Vegas, and Stephanie Lueck of Henderson; and her grandparents, Wells and Daphney Johnson of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Vernon and Kathryn Lueck of Watertown, S.D.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Virginia H. Martin

Virginia H. Martin, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 2, 1924, in New York. A resident for six years, she was a hospital worker.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Armstrong of Texas and Eleanor Bridges and Ginny McCarthy, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Vinny Martin of Reno and Eddie Martin and Timothy Martin, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Lee Carey of Buffalo, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in New York.

Louis Mona

Louis Mona, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1921, in Texas. A resident for many years, he was a property book officer.

He is survived by one son, Louis Mona of Texas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Texas. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William E. Oakden

William E. Oakden, 73, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1929, in Beaver, Utah. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired jet mechanic for the federal government, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia I.; one daughter, Doris Chavez of Las Vegas; three sons, Brian Oakden of South Jordan, Utah, David Oakden of Las Vegas and Robert Oakden of Alamo; three brothers, Charles Oakden of Portland, Ore., Donal Oakden of Sacramento and Dick Oakden of Beaver; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in the LDS Civic Center and Tonopah Chapel. Graveside services will be in Beaver.

Sandra Jean Perfetto

Sandra Jean Perfetto, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 23, 1941, in Somerville, Mass. A resident for 16 years, she was a contract writer for KB Homes.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard E.; three daughters, Terri Stevens of Tempe, Ariz., and Judi Brummett and Dawn Fairfax, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Gilbert Bourque of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., Alfred Bourque of Roanoke, Va., and Paul Bourque of Millbrae, Calif.

A celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the Egyptina Ballrooms E, F and G at the Luxor. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Loralei Reimer

Loralei Reimer, 75, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 1, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Irving; one son, Barry Reimer, and one daughter, Nancy McGinnis, both of California; two brothers, Donald Teacher and Edward Teacher, and one sister, Ferne Karns, all of Florida; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Henrietta 'Van' Van Fossen

Henrietta "Van" Van Fossen, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born May 28, 1914, in Indianapolis. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired management assistant for a mental health facility and a World War II Army veteran.

She is survived by one son, George O. Van Fossen of Alamo, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
