Jane C. Camlin

Jane C. Camlin, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born May 9, 1920, in Greensburg, Pa. A resident for five years, she was a retired schoolteacher, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the AAUW, Alpha Gamma Delta Society, Nevada Gems, Women Veterans of Nevada, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Golden Eaglett of the American Girl Scouts and the Parks and Recreation of Lake Havasu City, a volunteer of American Red Cross water safety program for 65 years and co-director of the Lake Havasu City Interagency.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred V.; one son, Alfred R. Camlin of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. until a 10 a.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Maxine DeVoe

Maxine DeVoe, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1912, in Heber Springs, Ark. A resident for 70 years, she was a homemaker, past president of the Las Vegas Emblem Club and a member of the Las Vegas Silver Sage.

She is survived by her husband, Don; one daughter, Georgianna Petitti of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Donnalee DeVoe of Monrovia, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Raymond A. Fick

Raymond A. Fick, 47, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1955, in Chicago. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired hotel porter.

He is survived by his mother, Bernadette Fick of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Ronald D. Fick of Las Vegas and Richard M. Fick of Chicago.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth Gervasio

Elizabeth Gervasio, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Orange, N.J. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Gervasio and Salvatore Gervasio; and one daughter, Olympia Gervasio.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony; five daughters, Maryann Aitoro, Linda Taylor and Antonette Key, all of Las Vegas, Angela Poulin of Phoenix and Lisa Suprina of New York; two sons, Leonard Gervasio and Louie Gervasio, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Louis Querques and Rocco Querques, both of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Rumaldo Gomez Jr.

Rumaldo Gomez Jr., 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Laredo, Texas. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired hotel kitchen helper.

He is survived by four daughters, Thelma Corral of Irving, Texas, Elizabeth Bloomfield of Houston and Nora Avila and Azenneth Caravella, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Samuel Gomez of Las Vegas and David Vargas of San Antonio; two sisters, Maria Rosario Pena of San Antonio and Alicia Rivera of Laredo; five brothers, Guadalupe Gomez, Francisco and Roberto Gomez, all of Laredo, and Armando Gomez and Juan Gomez, both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Rick James

Rick James, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 14, 1945, in Marysville, Calif. A resident for nine years, he was a retired glazier, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trade Workers Local 767 and Local 2001 in Las Vegas and California.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue; one son, Richard Lewis James Jr. of North Highlands, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Mitilda and Richard Max Colletti of Rio Linda, Calif.; one sister, Jessica Hewitt of Grants Pass, Ore.; two brothers, William Fred James of Grants Pass and Harry James of Carver, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Lucina Jimenez

Lucina Jimenez, 95, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 30, 1907, in Puebla, Mexico. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Alfonso Garcia and Humberto Garcia, both of Las Vegas; 30 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

Nanci Kahn

Nanci Kahn, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 20, 1948, in Detroit. A resident for four years, she was an artist.

She is survived by one daughter, Staci Valentine, one son, Marshall Valentine, and one brother, Jeffrey Kahn, all of Los Angeles.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Dell Leonardi

Dell Leonardi, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 24, 1921, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, she was a hypnotist.

William Bruce 'Billye' Markland

William Bruce "Billye" Markland, 47, of Las Vegas died Sept. 1 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1955, in Pocatello, Idaho. A resident for 30 years, he was a locksmith and computer consultant.

He is survived by his mother, Joan K. Ryan of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, William G. and Joanne Markland of Longmont, Colo.; two brothers, Michael Markland of Las Vegas and Dr. Wade Markland of Longmont; and two sisters, Jenai Markland of Las Vegas and Ronda Ryan of Greenbrae, Calif.

L.B. 'Luke' Maura

L.B. "Luke" Maura, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born April 30, 1932, in Baltimore. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired private investigator.

He is survived by his wife, Margi; his mother, Lucille Swarmer, and one brother, Peter Maura, both of New York.

Michelle Melinda Moore

Michelle Melinda Moore, 36, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 25, 1966, in California. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; two sons, David and Christopher; his parents, John and Nieves Richey; one brother, Kenneth; and one sister, Meranda.

Richard Felton Prentiss

Richard Felton Prentiss, 58, of Orange County, Calif., died Monday in Orange County. He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Fordyce, Ark. A former Las Vegas resident for 33 years, he was a heavy duty equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Nelson; his father, William Prentiss Sr. of Las Vegas; five brothers, William Prentiss Jr., Johnny Prentiss, Donald Ray Prentiss and Darrell Spencer Prentiss, all of Las Vegas, and Michael Prentiss of Seattle; four sisters, Sadie Marie Prentiss, Dorothy Jean Prentiss or Debra Ann Prentiss, all of Las Vegas, and Renay Prentiss-Jones of Maryland.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

William O. Schultz Sr.

William O. Schultz Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born July 12, 1922, in Los Angeles. A resident for 39 years, he was an airplane mechanic and a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Regina; one daughter, Karen Bushman of Logandale; one son, William O. Schultz Jr. of Torrance, Calif.; one sister, Audrey Schultz of Upland, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Freda M. "Susie" See, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Oklahoma City. A resident for six years, she was a retired accountant.

She is survived by her husband, Dell R.; one son, David See of Las Vegas; one brother, William L. Sikes of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Winona Gravlin of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.

John Edward Sias, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1951, in Kentucky. A resident for 21 years, he was a police officer and Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Sias, and one son, Dylan Sias, both of Henderson; and one sister, Gwen Jacober of Scottsdale, Ariz.

John Charles Slagter

John Charles Slagter, 60, of Cal-Nev-Ari, died Thursday in Cal-Nev-Ari. He was born Oct. 19, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired lineman for Southern California Edison.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; one daughter, Cassandra Cannon of Las Vegas; his mother, Wilma Slagter of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and three sisters, Carol Slagter and Mary Daniels, both of Bullhead City, and Roberta Marsh of Spokane, Wash.

Gary 'Smitty' Smith

Gary "Smitty" Smith, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 10, 1938, in Castro Valley, Calif. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired limousine driver and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one daughter, Debra Moore of Las Vegas; three sons, Gary smith of Reno, Gregg Smith of Greer, N.C., and Dean Smith of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Delores Twist of Fremont, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Earl D. Williams

Earl D. Williams, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 24, 1922, in Lindsay, Okla. A resident for four years, he was a retired automobile service manager, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; three sisters, Ella Selby and Venoy Cunningham, both of Oklahoma, and Mae Coe of Texas; and one brother, Curtis Williams of Texas.

Services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

Harold R. Yetter Jr.

Harold R. Yetter Jr., 66, of Beatty died Sept. 30 in Beatty. He was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a dishwasher.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one brother, Robert Yetter of Pennsylvania; and his best friend, William Davis of Beatty.
