Mildred 'Ruth' Burton

Mildred "Ruth" Burton, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Centralia, Ill. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, H.E.; two daughters, Joyce Walker of Las Vegas and Jeannine Barneby of Twin Falls, Idaho; one son, Richard Burton of Roswell, Ga.; one sister, Grace Anderson of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Patrick James Davis

Patrick James Davis, 53, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1949, in Detroit. A resident for 24 years, he was a security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry D.; two daughters, Anissa Bonnell and Jennifer Aiona-Aka, both of Henderson; two sons, Douglas Haslett of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Danny Haslett of Las Vegas; one brother; one sister; and 19 grandchildren.

Raymond M. DePalma Jr.

Raymond M. DePalma Jr. 56, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 17, 1947, in Detroit. A resident for six years, he was vice principal of Shadow Ridge High School and a member of the Nevada Association of School Administrators, Nevada Association of Secondary School Principals and Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; one son, Dennis DePalma of Los Angeles; two daughters, McCall Strehlow and Lacey Evans, both of Las Vegas; his father, Raymond DePalma Sr., and one sister, Linda Wilson, both of Roswell, N.M.; and two grandchildren.

An open house will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at 6121 Markleham Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Joan M. Flores

Joan M. Flores, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday. She was born Sept. 9, 1931. A resident for 11 years, she was a screenwriter, a writer at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and a member of the Screen Writers Guild.

She is survived by two sons, Rex Flores and Russel Flores; one brother, Walter Seipp; one sister, Dorothee Long; one grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

Michael D. Gilley

Michael D. Gilley, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 24, 1941, in Washington state. A resident for 20 years, he was an air-conditioning technician and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four sons, Edward, David, Michael and Peter; three daughters, Michele Blankenship, Sherry Montoya and Tina Gilley; one brother, Melvin; and five grandchildren.

Lowell Eugene Hardt

Lowell Eugene Hardt, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. An aircraft mechanic and a Navy veteran, he was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Iowa.

He is survived by four daughters, Debbie Magee and Lisa Spahr, both of Las Vegas, and Cathy Compagnoni and Tammy Rants, both of Boulder City; one son, Brian Hardt of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 1:30 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by services at 2 p.m. in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Burial was scheduled in in Boulder City Cemetery.

Alice Juanita Holst

Alice Juanita Holst, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A secretary, she was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Memphis, Tenn.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Sr. of Mission Viejo, Calif.; three sons, Rick Holst Jr. and Mike Holst, both of Mission Viejo, and Randy Holst of Las Vegas; one daughter, Angela Figueredo of Alacante, Spain; and six grandchildren.

A nicheside service will be in California. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Dominic William Isi

Dominic William Isi, 25, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 16 years, he was born Nov. 5, 1977, in Grants, N.M.

He is survived by his father, Dominic S. Isi; his mother, Margaret; and two sisters, Christina Elizabeth Isi-Alquisalas and Cassandra Dawn Isi.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Diane Louise Kretschmer

Diane Louise Kretschmer, 49, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 4, 1953, in Missouri. A resident for five years, she was a school district custodian.

She is survived by one son, Cody Arango, and her mother, Lorraine Sanders, both of Henderson; her father, Joseph A. Kretschmer of St. Louis; three sisters, Sharon Deitz of Henderson, Linda Brown of Grover, Mo., and Joyce Sosa of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and one brother, James Kretschmer of Stead.

John F. Larsen

John F. Larsen, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Sioux Falls, S.D. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a cabinet making company.

He is survived by his wife, Joann; three daughters, Deborah Carl and Jacky Tribett, both of Las Vegas and Sandy Latta of Boone, Iowa; four sons, Bruce Larsen, Bradley Larsen, Gerald Larsen and James Larsen, all of Las Vegas; one sister, LaVonne Iverson of Sioux Falls; one brother, Bill Larsen of South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bobby Dean McBride

Bobby Dean McBride, 65, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A pipefitter and welder, he was born March 26, 1938, in Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Joey; one son, Bobby McBride; three daughters, Tommie Weckesser, Lisa Kight and Kerry Marshall Bowers; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the LDS chapel, 801 Arrowhead Trail. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Matthew McCall

Matthew McCall, 17, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born May 31, 1986, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Peggy and Timothy McCall of Henderson; his father and stepmother, Patrick and Dee Dee McCall of Las Vegas; three brothers, Patrick Prather and Scott Prather, both of Maui, Hawaii, and Ronald Shimizu of Henderson; and his grandparents, June and Henry Suzuki of Maui.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Kenneth W. Miller

Kenneth W. Miller, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A supervisor in the transportation industry, he was born Sept. 17, 1950, in Fordyce, Ark.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; eight daughters, Belinda, Sonya, Mary, Patricia, Mamie, Taketchia, Kenisha and Kimberly; and one son, Darryl.

Florence M. Mulay

Florence M. Mulay, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Iowa. A resident for 12 years, she was a PBX operator.

She is survived by her husband, Edward M.; one daughter, Joan Davis, and one son, Doug Davis, both of Crestline, Calif.; one brother, Clarence Oswald of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Palumbo, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Washington, D.C. A resident for three years, she owned an antique art gallery.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; four sons, Robert Paul Palumbo of Moore, Okla., Anthony Neal Palumbo of Tracy, Calif., Daniel Howard Palumbo of Fremont, Calif., and Steven Ernest Palumbo of Las Vegas; one daughter, Susan Elaine Carrow of Modesto, Calif.; one brother, Kenny Genthner of Macon, Ga.; one sister, Dorothy Ashe of Virginia; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Shirlie B. Ravich

Shirlie B. Ravich, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday. A retired entrepreneur of custom gift cards, she was born May 31, 1924, in Newburyport, Mass.

She is survived by one son, Richard Ravich of San Jose, Calif.

Michael D. Reinold, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 9, 1953, in Illinois. A resident for 16 years, he was an engineer for a hotel, an Army veteran and a member of Local 501.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri; two sons, Ricky Pote and Michael Reinold; six daughters, Angela, Cynthia, Rachael, Joy Simon, Alicia Simon and Susan Simon; four brothers, William, Tony, James and Robert; five sisters, Betty Meyer, Dorothy Haley, Marylyn Frieden, Mary Ann Hoyt and Clara Burghart; and two grandchildren.

Thelma Louise Stout, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Nov. 21, 1925, in Bellevue, Neb.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Rice of Las Vegas, Kathy Hawkins of Fontana, Calif., and Peggy Drew of Kansas City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

David Vanlue

David Vanlue, 48, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1954, in Ocala, Fla. A resident for 14 years, he was a real estate supervisor and a member of the Moose.

He is survived by two daughters, Erin Vanlue and Shannon Vanlue, both of Henderson; one stepson, Matthew Zavardino, and one stepdaughter, Leith Gottula, both of Iowa; his father, David Vanlue Sr. of Florida; two brothers, Daniel Vanlue of Wisconsin and Nigel Vanlue of Florida; two sisters, Tiffany Vanlue and Stephanie Vanlue, both of Florida; and four grandchildren.

LaVon A. Vito-Spann

LaVon A. Vito-Spann, 5 1/2 months, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 3, 2003, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Sofia Vito Manu, and his father, Randall Spann, both of Las Vegas; four siblings, Ariana Vito Manu and Marcus Jr. Vito Manu, both of Seattle; and Rita Aleydia Lee and Brianna Neecole Callaway-Spann; his grandparents, Willie Scott of Las Vegas and Matalana and Pio Vito of American Samoa; and his great-grandfather, Alexander McNair of Las Vegas.

John A. Vogel

John A. Vogel, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Whitelaw, Wis. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired route sales manager in the trucking industry.

He is survived by his wife, Carol J.; two sons, John and Steve; one daughter, Susan Gomez; two sisters, Mary Jane Kupina and Prescilla Vesly; and four grandchildren.

Ida S. Warren

Ida S. Warren, 83, of Roanoke, Va., died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1920, in Italy. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a retired hostess at the Tropicana hotel.

She is survived by two sisters, Emma Brickhouse of Roanoke and Doraine Sanzio of Buffalo, N.Y.; and one brother, Armand Sanzio of San Mateo, Calif.

Eddie Dean Williams

Eddie Dean Williams, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1954, in Las Vegas. A resident for 48 years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by one sister, Terri L. Neal of North Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Morris Williams

Morris Williams, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1919, in Alburn, Maine. A resident for 19 years, he owned and operated a furnace cleaning service and was employed by the MGM Grand.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Elaine Khatib of New York; two sons, Jack Williams of New York and Norman Williams of Las Vegas; one sister, Annette Chall of New York; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
