Mary Julia Bowers

Mary Julia Bowers, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 8, 1917, in Oil City, Pa. A resident for 48 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Bowers of Pennsylvania and Brad Bowers of Las Vegas; two daughters, Shirley Spearman and Sandra Burbage, both of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

The family suggests contributions to the hospice of the donor's choice.

Beverly Braithwaite

Beverly Braithwaite, 72, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 16, 1930, in Keatly, Utah. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker and a volunteer at Boulder City Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, John Robert Braithwaite of Vincennes, Ind., and Ken G. Braithwaite of Boulder City; six sisters, Irma Whitmill of Firth, Idaho, Dona Denison and Marjorie Holt, both of Las Vegas, LaRue Brotherson of Mount Pleasant, Utah, LaDonna Bartholmeow of Ogden, Utah, and Merlene Hermanson of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Glade Smith of Parowan, Utah, and Ralph Draper of Roosevelt, Utah; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Monday in LDS Fifth Street chapel, Boulder City. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Eleanor C. Cimini

Eleanor C. Cimini, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Cimini Jr. of Glendale, Calif., and William Cimini of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Santoro of Laguna Wood, Calif.; and one brother, Michael Como of Coventry, R.I.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

John R. Devitte

John R. Devitte, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired salesman for a paint manufacturer and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Emily F.; two sons, Kirk Devitte and Craig Devitte, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald Devitte of Seattle; and three grandsons.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. A private burial will follow.

Ricardo B. Garcia

Ricardo B. Garcia, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired factory machine operator.

He is survived by his wife, Alice F.; one stepdaughter, Charlesetta L. Morris of Los Angeles; one stepson, William H. Morris of Fontana, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A prayer service was scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

George Eugene Gass

George Eugene Gass, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 29, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for several years, he was a truck driver and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Gass, Georgia Erb and Nancy Gass; four sons, Richard Gass, Scot Gass, Robert Gass and Craig Gass; one sister, Ann Farbotnik; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Anitra R. Guice

Anitra R. Guice, 28, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 26, 1974, in Las Vegas. A resident for 28 years, she was disabled.

She is survived by her parents, Morris E. and Delores Guice, and three brothers, Danny Powell, Maurice Guice and Morris T. Guice, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Alsen E. 'Bud' Inman Jr.

Alsen E. "Bud" Inman Jr., 63, of Mansfield, Texas, died Wednesday in Mansfield. He was born Aug. 2, 1939, in Los Angeles. A former Las Vegas resident for 27 years, he was a retired after 36 years with the National Park Service.

He is survived by his wife, Katie; five sons, Ron Inman, Steve Inman, Eric Goodbar, Wayne Goodbar and Phillip Brown; two daughters, Lisa Barnett and Katrina Carlson; his father, Alsen Inman Sr.; his stepfather, George Palmer; three brothers, Ron Inman, Marlin Rudser and Floyd Palmer; two sisters, Betty Palmer and Edie Smith; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Doris E. Joseph

Doris E. Joseph, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 24, 1929, in Sistersville, W.Va. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by her husband, Fred A.; one son, Dominick P. Costello of Las Vegas; one daughter, Christine S. Steele of Lavaca, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Betty Lou Kester

Betty Lou Kester, 63, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born March 16, 1940, in Inglewood, Calif. A resident for 62 years, she was a keno writer.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edward Lee; three daughters, Debbie Beyer of Henderson, Cindy Shelton of Brisbane, Australia, and Sharon Hyder of Las Vegas; one sister, Lois Bartlet of California; and two brothers, Leroy Helms of Henderson and Leslie Helms of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Tharol W. Lefler

Tharol W. Lefler, 76, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born March 23, 1927, in Charleston, Utah. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired teacher and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by four sons, Michael Lefler of Farmington, Utah, Rodney Lefler and Harold Lefler, both of Henderson, and Dwayne Lefler of Ivins, Utah; one daughter, Patricia Lefler of Henderson; two brothers, Donnen Lefler of Henderson and Veldon Lefler of Washington, Utah; and 13 grandchildren.

Joseph M. McMahon, 52, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 20, 1951, in New York. A resident for 12 years, he was a nursing teacher.

He is survived by his parents, Margaret and Joseph McMahon of Annapolis, Md.; and one brother, William P. McMahon of Kenmore, N.Y.

Burial will be in Kenmore. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Bette Jean Nedrow

Bette Jean Nedrow, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Corning, Mo. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Barron of Las Vegas; one son, Ronald Nedrow of Henderson; two brothers, Vernon Christmas and Raymond Christmas, both of Savannah, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Agnes D. Rothschild

Agnes D. Rothschild, 99, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1903, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired investor and a member of the Studabaker Club of Las Vegas.

She is survived by three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

William A. Schellert

William A. Schellert, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Albany, Calif. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired account executive in the beverage industry, a golf course ranger and president of Palm Ridge, Sun City homeowners association.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice B.; three daughters, Kathleen Mohler of Sacramento, Sheryl A. Moyer of Perkasie, Pa., and Beverly Schellert of Lancaster, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Barnes Sinclair, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 24, 1935, in Clinton, N.C. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired manager an auto parts business.

He is survived by one daughter, Faye Allen of Pine Level, N.C.; two sons, Richard Sinclair of Green Castle, Pa., and Michael Sinclair of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be in North Carolina. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Bruce A. Smith

Bruce A. Smith, 79, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. He was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Fort Cobb, Okla. A resident for 55 years, he was a retired machinist, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the International Association of Machinists.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine I.; one daughter, Barbara S. Poweleit of Lakewood, Colo.; one son, Bruce F. Smith of Henderson; and one grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City, followed by burial in the Boulder City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

She is survived by one son, Michael P. Thacker of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carlotta Scheftner of Reno; eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Glenn L. Tudor

The Rev. Glenn L. Tudor, 94, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1908, in Indiana. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired minister from the First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by one son, twin Glenn Jr.

He is survived by one son, twin Glendon W. Tudor of California; one daughter, Judith A. Ford of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. July 1 in First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
