Clifford D. Arons

Clifford D. Arons, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1920, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for five years, he was a retired police officer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; three sons, Ron Arons of Las Vegas, Mike Arons of Parker, Ariz., and Jerry Arons of Susanville, Calif.; one daughter, Terri Case of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

Judith Evelyn Burkhammer

Judith Evelyn Burkhammer, 61, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1942, in Parkersburg, W.Va. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John R.; two daughters, Christy Street of Castle Rock, Colo., and Margo Plummer of Peoria, Ariz.; one son, Richard Burkhammer of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Louis J. Callom

Louis J. Callom, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born April 7, 1910, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was a retired metallurgist for a steel company.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; one son, Frank Callom of Las Vegas; one daughter, Virginia Miljus of Pittsburgh; one sister, Julia Hartman of Chicago; and four grandchildren.

Services were set for 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Eileen E. Catapano

Eileen E. Catapano, 67, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 20, 1935, in New York. A resident for 11 years, she was a telephone operator.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Strickland; four sons, Salvatore Catapano of Florida, Charles Catapano and John Catapano, both of New York state, and Michael Catapano of Georgia; three sisters, Rose Rimi and Kathleen McGlinden, both of New York, and Margaret Studley of California; and seven grandchildren.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

William Collins

William Collins, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A retired railroad laborer, he was born July 8, 1924, in New York.

Graveside services were set for this morning in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Juan Figarola

Juan Figarola, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Havana. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired hotel housekeeper.

He is survived by one daughter, Miriam Moreno of Henderson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Paul Edgar Hartman

Paul Edgar Hartman, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired oil company electronics technician.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Bill Hartman of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Jeff Hartman of Bakersfield, Calif.; two stepsons, Terry Horn of Stanfield, Ore., and Marty Horn of Kansas City, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is private. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Sun City Community Church. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Miguel Hurtado

Miguel Hurtado, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 16, 1939, in Valencia, Spain. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a machinist for an aircraft manufacturer.

He is survived by his wife, Ana M.; two daughters, Vanessa Hurtado of Las Vegas and Anna M. Hurtado of Los Angeles; one son, Michael Hurtado, his mother, Carmen Matamales, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Burial will be in California. Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Blanche Hogan Lee

Blanche Hogan Lee, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1921, in Bartlett, Texas. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Smith of Las Vegas and Elizabeth Currey of Friday Harbor, Wash.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1711 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 213A, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Diane Marino

Diane Marino, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 24, 1956, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Tony; two daughters, Michelle Boehm and Melissa Marino, her mother, Emma Kruger, and two sisters, Pam Klippert and Barbara Sell, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Mark Kruger of Las Vegas and Ed Kruger of Akron; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday in Meadows Fellowship Christian Church, 7801 W. Alexander Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Amalia Muniz

Amalia Muniz, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1957, in Mexico. A resident for many years, she was a hotel maid.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; three daughters, Patricia Guzman, Delia Palacios and Michelle Muniz, and three sons, Humberto Palacios, Alfredo Muniz and Ramon Muniz, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Abraham Pacillas, David Pacillas, Ismael Pacillas, Ramiro Pacillas and Manuel Pacillas, all of El Monte, Calif.; and three sisters, Pina Pacillas and Engracia Pacillas, both of Mexico, and Rita Pacillas of Utah.

Marcella Siwa

Marcella Siwa, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired automotive supervisor.

She is survived by one sister, Joyce Boyko of Minneapolis.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 E. Desert Inn Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

June F. Walters

June F. Walters, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born June 1, 1920, in Ohio. A resident for four years, she was a bookkeeper for a garage door installer.

She is survived by one son, Robert Franklin of Granville, Ohio; one brother, Richard Harrington of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Stanley Zurawski

Stanley Zurawski, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1921, in Johnstown, Pa. A resident for 53 years, he was a retired corporate officer for a coin dealer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Las Vegas and Desert Inn country clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Natalia; one son, Stanley Zurawski of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Valley View Memorial Park, is handling arrangements.
