SALT LAKE CITY -- Trent Durrington's run-scoring single capped a three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning that gave the Salt Lake Stingers a 3-2 Pacific Coast League victory over the Las Vegas 51s Sunday afternoon.

Salt Lake trailed 2-0 with one out when Chone Figgins reached on an error by 51s shortstop Gookie Dawkins and Alfredo Amezaga followed with an infield single.

After Gary Johnson struck out, Las Vegas third baseman Chris Clapinski booted Adam Riggs' ground ball to load the bases with two out. Barry Wesson tied the game as he stroked a two-run single to right off Las Vegas reliever Bryan Corey (0-2).

Durrington ended the game as he lined a single to left field, scoring Riggs.

The 51s had built their 2-0 lead on solo homers by Chin-Feng Chen in the fourth off Salt Lake starter Chirs Bootcheck and by Eric Riggs against Stingers reliever Greg Jones (1-2) in the eighth.

The loss dropped the 51s into a first-place tie with Sacramento in the Southern Division. The 51s travel to Tucson to begin a four-game series tonight.
