Mildred R. Aloisio

Mildred R. Aloisio, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired secretary for a wholesale firm and a World War II Army veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Maria Meyerson of Las Vegas; one brother, Louis Augello of Buffalo; and one grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations of children's books for the Curriculum Materials Library at UNLV.

Clovis A. Baca Sr.

Clovis A. Baca Sr., 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1924, in San Fidel, N.M. A resident for four years, he was a retired politician and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lita; two daughters, Patricia Aragon of Grants, N.M., and Marv Baca of Las Vegas; one son, Clovis Baca Jr. of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10:40 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Timothy Eric Coates

Timothy Eric Coates, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1963, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for 29 years, he was a laborer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Timothy II, one stepson, Jonathan, and his mother and stepfather, Diane and Jim Forrest, all of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Patrick and Samantha Coates of Ely; one brother, Glenn Coates, one sister, Karen Livingston, and one stepbrother, Jimmy Forrest, all of Las Vegas.

A going-away party will be 4 p.m. Saturday. Friends and family are asked to contact the family for directions. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Rohlin W. Desler

Rohlin W. Desler, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Oregon. A resident for 23 years, he was a construction supervisor and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his companion, Angie Sanchez; one son, Dennis; one daughter, Diane; numerous brothers and sisters; and one grandchild.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private family services.

Daniel W. Doss

Daniel W. Doss, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 15, 1948, in Magnolia, Ark. A resident for more than 15 years, he was an administrative specialist for the Department of Psychological Services of Clark County School District.

He is survived by one son, Jacob E. Doss of Moreno Valley, Calif.; his mother, Leona Lawson of Hot Springs, Ark., and Warren Doss of Hazen, Ark.; one brother, Rick Doss of Little Rock, Ark.

Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in the Metropolitan Community Church. A private burial will follow. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Julie A. Ellis

Julie A. Ellis, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pa. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired licensed practical nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; three daughters, Julyann Fies of Las Vegas, Cindy Rockwell of Loysville, Pa., and Jeanne Kinsler of Newville, Pa.; one son, Harry Ellis Jr. of Middletown, Pa.; one brother, James Smith of Landisburg, Pa.; two sisters, Leslie Baker of Boiling Springs, Pa., and Terry Gudzin of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Sidney L. Fine

Sidney L. Fine, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A retired owner-operator of a pet grooming store and a World War II Army veteran, he was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

William J. Fletcher

William J. Fletcher, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1928, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired shop supervisor for Diamond Metal Sales, Gardena, Calif., and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, David R. Fletcher of Henderson; and one grandson.

Harry W. Hixon

Harry W. Hixon, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 13, 1937, in Pennsylvania. A resident for seven years, he was a retired tow truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons, Doug and Mike; one daughter, Laura; one brother, Raymond Smith; one sister, Rose Shearer; and two grandchildren.

John E. Jerback Jr.

John E. Jerback Jr., 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1960, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for nine years, he was a bouncer at Cheetahs.

He is survived by his wife, Casilda A.; two sons, John Michael Jerback of Trenton and Jose Ricardo Corominas of Las Vegas; one daughter, Alyssa Marie Jerback, his mother, Carolyn E. Jerback, and one brother, Michael T. Jerback, all of Trenton.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Clarence Henry Koster

Clarence Henry Koster, 70, of Henderson died Sunday. He was born Sept. 11, 1932, in Rolfe, Iowa, and was retired.

He was preceded in death by one son, David.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; six daughters, Rona Vogel of Las Vegas, Janet Amos of Henderson, Kathy Bill of Mankato, Minn., Dianne Porter of Murrieta Springs, Calif., Mary Lynn Ohl of Boulder City and Karen Pick of Mendota Heights, Minn.; one son, Chad of Henderson; two brothers, Donald of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Gerald of Manson, Iowa; one sister, Marlynn Kerhulas of Naperville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, is handling arrangements.

Marie M. Ladzinski

Marie M. Ladzinski, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Detroit. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker and was retired.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward; one daughter, Joanne Heady of Phoenix; one sister, Bernice Quentin of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Gene C. LeHew

Gene C. LeHew, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born May 4, 1915, in Little Eagle, S.D. A resident for one month, he was a retired meat cutter, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Mission Bay 771 Masonic Lodge and Sciots 56, both in San Diego.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Donald LeHew; one daughter, Jan Oliver of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Shirley Marquardt

Shirley Marquardt, 69, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born April 20, 1934, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a computer operator in the gaming industry.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; and one daughter, Sue Braeunig of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Mariam Lisa Mendelson

Mariam Lisa Mendelson, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A coin bank employee, she was born July 11, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She is survived by one son, Bob Michael Mendelson of Las Vegas.

Kathleen Forsyth Millington

Kathleen Forsyth Millington, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Liverpool, England. A resident for 40 years, she was a bank saleswoman and held many LDS Church positions, including temple worker.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; four daughters, Karon Tillett-Kastris, Cheryl Okolovich and Kaylie Fritzler, all of Las Vegas, and Tracey Smith of Cedar City, Utah; two sons, Wayne Millington of Las Vegas and Scott Millington of Logandale; two sisters, Rose Davis of Liverpool and Eileen Black of New Zealand; three brothers, John Forsyth and Jimmy Forsyth, both of Liverpool, and Robert Forsyth of Perth, Australia; and 20 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in the LDS Lakes Ward, Grand Canyon Drive and Desert Inn Road. Graveside services will be in Cedar City, Utah. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Anne Novosad

Anne Novosad, 81, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 40 years, she was in real estate sales.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Conrady, and two sons, Mark Novosad and Jim Novosad, all of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Pete Bazan of Grand Junction, Mich., and Steve Bazan of St. Joseph, Mich.; two sisters, Tillie Small of Minocqua, Wis., and Olga Olds of Bangor, Maine; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Joseph Orlando

Joseph Orlando, 58, of Las Vegas died March 8 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 29, 1944.

Sid E. Petty

Sid E. Petty, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. He was born March 13, 1920, in Brady, Texas. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and founder of Air Vegas Airlines, a World War II and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Jim Petty of Henderson and Robert Petty of California; one daughter, Margy Butterworth of California; 10 grandchildren; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. today with a service following at 6:30 p.m. in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Miguel Jorge Pozzi

Miguel Jorge Pozzi, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1936, in Argentina. A resident for five years, he was employed in the MGM Grand's hospitality department.

He is survived by his wife, Mirta Susana; one son, J. Marcelo Pozzi of Texas; his mother, Laura Banat, and one sister, Vilma Castro-Bran, both of California.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Carolyn Jayne Spychala

Carolyn Jayne Spychala, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 7, 1949, in Illinois. A resident for 18 years, she was a real estate secretary.

She is survived by four brothers, Steven McLaughlin, Richard McLaughlin, Robert McLaughlin and Bruce McLaughlin; and one sister, Janice McLaughlin.

Alice C. Tobinka

Alice C. Tobinka, 97, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1906, in St. Louis. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired typist pool supervisor for a credit information bureau.

She is survived by several family members and friends.
