Edwin W. Castle

Edwin W. Castle, 86, of Las Vegas died April 29 in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1916, in Corvalis, Ore. A resident for 69 years, he was a retired bridge engineer in the construction industry, and a World War II Army and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one grandson, Michael Gilbert of Torrance, Calif.

Stella Cherew

Stella Cherew, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. Born April 2, 1922, in New York, she was a time keeper.

She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Flora of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Rochester, N.Y.

David Clayman

David Clayman, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Richmond, Va. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired security officer, World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Shriners and Jewish War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; one daughter, Pixie Clayman, and one son, Darryl, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane., handled arrangements.

Myra Jean Cook

Myra Jean Cook, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1925, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired retail salesperson.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Arvizu and Linda Placer, and three sons, Jon Hall, Mark Cook and Dana Cook, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Enid Russell of Sacramento and Karyl Kloosterman of Van Nuys, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon to 7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Brenden Crawford

Brenden Crawford, 2, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 12, 2001, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Curtis and Celeste Crawford, four sisters, Tiffany Fedawitz, Shalane Carter, Nicole Crawford and Bailey Crawford, and one brother, Daniel Carter, all of Henderson; and his grandparents, Naoma Crawford of Henderson and Sybil Hobbs of Farmington, Utah.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in the Sunset LDS Ward Chapel, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Eunice H. Deneufville

Eunice H. Deneufville, 92, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born April 30, 1911, in Cambridge, Idaho. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker, a Welcome Wagon volunteer, and a member of American Association of University Women, PEO and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Juliette A. Logsdon of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunlake Terrace, 3250 S. Fort Apache Road.

Thomas Lynn Dotson, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. Born May 5, 1938, in Texas, he was a member of the Teamsters.

He is survived by one daughter, Audrey Dotson of Blue Diamond; two sons, Douglas Dotson and Cody Dotson, both of Nevada; three sisters, Latrice Dotson, and Earnestine Howell, both Nevada and Triena Coufaul of Texas; and four brothers, James Dotson of Nevada and Marshall Dotson, Herbert Brookshire and Dudley Brookshire, all of Texas.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:03 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Ida Low, Texas.

Pamela L. Downing-Christensen, 52, of Las Vegas died May 5, in Las Vegas. She was born June 28, 1950, in Yuma, Ariz. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

Bonnie R. Flicker, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Kentucky. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Dale; two daughters, Carol and Sandra; three sisters, Gert, Lou and Florence; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Rose Kantor, 91, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Illinois. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Kantor of Las Vegas and Ronald Kantor of Beverly Hills, Calif.; one brother, Joe Berliner of Palm Springs, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

George Kopich

George Kopich, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 26, 1910, in Bessamar, Mich. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired casino host, World War II Marine Corps veteran, and an avid poker player.

He is survived by his companion, Terrie Jurinek of Las Vegas; and one sister, Anna Romanowsky of Minersville, Pa.

Services will be held in Pennsylvania. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Jean Laerm, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired showroom waitress.

She is survived by one daughter, Helena Rankin of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, Bill Alexander of Las Vegas and Dean Alexander of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mary Maresh of Las Vegas and Florence Tzaneteas of Brooklyn; one brother, Gus Kokenes of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Cathy Shalen of Phoenix and Sandra Lewis of Sebastopol, Calif.; one son, Stephen Lewis of Chino, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
