High school graduations to begin Wednesday
High schools in the Clark County School District will begin commencement ceremonies Wednesday for the more than 10,000 seniors in the class of 2003.
Two high schools -- Sierra Vista and Coronado -- will graduate their first senior classes. Both schools opened in 2001.
All commencement events will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center unless otherwise noted.

Neighborhood Watch fair is scheduled
The Neighborhood Watch Catch-All Fair is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Buena Vista Springs Apartments, 2417 Morton Ave.
The event will offer free services, assistance and information on record sealing, quashing bench warrants, civil rights, mentoring for pregnant teens, outreach services for formula and diapers, budgeting food stamps food nutrition, HIV testing and prevention, registration for pre-school, training and employment preparation, fire safety and prevention, glucose testing and diabetes education, child care various financial and banking needs, counseling services and more.
On hand will be the North Las Vegas Police Crime Prevention Bureau promoting community awareness in methods in prevention of crime and in the reduction of fear.

Give those old computers to charity
Las Vegas Valley residents who have computer cables, hard drives, mice or other computer parts that are just gathering dust can bring them to be recycled or reused at the Thomas &Mack Center White Lot on Swenson Street north of Tropicana Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The event, part of a 15-city tour, is sponsored by Dell computers and the National Cristina Foundation -- a nonprofit that uses computers to train disadvantaged people.
Computers that people would otherwise throw out will either be donated to organizations or recycled.
"Most computers that are too old for consumers have years of life left in them for use by organizations serving those in need who can't afford new technology," said foundation President Yvette Marrin.
Computers that aren't usable will be recycled by a national company that satisfies all EPA, state and local requirements.
St. Rose Dominican Hospital,
Rose De Lima campus, along with Clinic on Wheels, will offer free immunizations and dental screenings to all school-age children from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at 102 E. Lake Mead Drive. For more more information, call 616-7525.
