Fund-raiser

"A Concert for Compassion" will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Cafe Espresso Roma, 4440 Maryland Pkwy. Suggested donation is $5, and proceeds benefit Doctors Without Borders. 436-7030.

Dinner/concert

A spaghetti dinner and concert featuring contemporary Christian band Ascension will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. 454-8484.

Free seminar

Potluck in the park

Free program

Arthritis walk

The Arthritis Foundation holds its second annual "Arthritis Walk" at 8 a.m. Saturday at the University of Las Vegas. Registration begins at 7 a.m. All proceeds from the 3.1-mile walk benefit the Arthritis Foundation. 367-1626.

Movie series

The Clark County Parks and Community Services Department presents the "Starlight Movie Series," which continues at 8:30 p.m. today at Duck Creek Park at the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Pebble Road. Art competition

The Clark County Parks and Community Services' Cultural Division is now accepting samples of work for the fifth annual E. Pluribus Artis invitational exhibit, to be held from June 23 to Aug. 9 in the rotunda of the Clark County Government Center. Writing contest

Scripts are being accepted for the 16th Annual Nevada Film Office Screenplay Competition until June 30. Prizes include cash awards, a press conference/ luncheon with the lieutenant governor of the state, gifts and promotion of the top three winning scripts to producers and production companies in Hollywood.
