Sarah C. Brubaker

Sarah C. Brubaker, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 25, 1917, in Wartrace, Tenn. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Cronan of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Rebecca Snyder and Adele Dockray, both of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Houston. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gary Ray Busby

Gary Ray Busby, 45, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 2, 1957, in Alabama. A resident for 13 years, he was president and owner of Acclaim Engineering & Associates Inc., a member of the Masons and Ironworkers Local 751, Anchorage, Alaska.

He is survived by two sons, Ryan Ray Busby of Henderson and Jonathan Gottlob of Soldotna, Alaska; his mother, Maudine Jones of Carrollton, Ala.; and three sisters, Alisa Sims of Gordo, Ala., and Sylvia Austin and Charlotte Dolan, both of Boring, Ore.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to National Hepatitis Foundation.

Donna Campbell-Broadhurst

Donna Campbell-Broadhurst, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. An insurance agent, she was born July 13, 1947, in Memphis, Tenn.

She is survived by two daughters, Kristina Appleton of Olive Branch, Miss., and Jennifer Bradford of Somerville, Tenn.; her mother, Anne Fleming; three brothers, Steve Campbell of Jackson, Mo., Alan Campbell of Long Beach, Calif., and Ron Campbell of Grady, Ark.; two sisters, Beth Harrelson of Las Cruces, N.M., and Pat Campbell of Amarillo, Texas; and four grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Tennessee. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mei Chan-Cheung

Mei Chan-Cheung, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 22, 1928, in China. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Chi; one daughter, Mary Lee, and two sons, William Cheung and John Cheung, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Joe Chan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Alveria 'Vera' Climent

Alveria "Vera" Climent, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired beautician.

She is survived by two sons, Jack and Don; one daughter, Carol Salerno; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Richard Allen Detrick

Richard Allen Detrick, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born June 29, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for six years, he was an agent for the Defense Department, a Vietnam War and Desert Storm Army veteran, a member of the Green Beret Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane; two sons, Jefferson Detrick of Fort Benning, Ga., Richard Detrick of Frankfurt, Germany; his mother, Clara Detrick of San Bernardino, Calif.; one sister, Christine Koopman of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow at noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Billie L. Dietderich

Billie L. Dietderich, 87, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Oklahoma. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Johnnie R. Cline of North Las Vegas; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be in Idaho.

Donald Driggers

Donald Driggers, 49, of Las Vegas died May 23 in Las Vegas. He was born May 30, 1953, in Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a warehouseman.

He is survived by his wife, Lana; and one sister, Sherry Hendrix of Trophy Club, Texas.

Pressley W. Driggers

Pressley W. Driggers, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Cades, S.C. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired service technician for a retail chain, an Air Force veteran and a member of Operating Engineers Local 51.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; three daughters, Carol Burgess of St. George, Utah, Karen Kryk of Las Vegas and Christina Clark of Sacramento; four sons, Thomas Driggers of Reno, Gary Fletcher Jr. of Auburn, Calif., Thomas Fletcher of Lincoln, Calif., and Mark Fletcher of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Wise of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one brother, Clyde Driggers of Henderson; and 17 grandchildren.

Harriet Fenton

Harriet Fenton, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Naples, Idaho. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired retail department manager and a volunteer at Derfelt Senior Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Dyanna Denari of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jerry Burcham of Middletown, Calif., and Jim Burcham of Medford, Ore.; one sister, Dorothy Porter of Arlington, Wash.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Geraldine Ruth Gimbel

Geraldine Ruth Gimbel, 80, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 21, 1923, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 49 years, she was a retail cashier for 34 years, an Army veteran, past president of Women's Army Corps Chapter 77 and past commander and district first commander of American Legion Post 31.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Mabury of Mesquite; her companion, Larry McShane of Boulder City; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.

Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

Rose Marie Guida

Rose Marie Guida, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 18, 1921, in New York City. A resident for 15 years, she was a school secretary.

She is survived by three sons, Alfred S. Guida and Stephen Guida, both of Las Vegas, and Thomas Guida of Staten Island, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Stacy Lee Gutierrez

Stacy Lee Gutierrez, 37, of Las Vegas died May 23 in Las Vegas. She was born in Boulder City. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Benito Gutierrez, one daughter, Monica Gutierrez, and two brothers, Sonny Gutierrez and Marty Gutierrez, all of Henderson; and two sisters, Lisa Gutierrez of Henderson and Jamie Moores of Florida.

Cheri Lynn Holtz

Cheri Lynn Holtz, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1958, in Denver. A resident for 24 years, she was a trainer at Chili's in Summerlin.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; one daughter, Melissa Talbert of Fort Wright, Ky.; and her parents, Bob and Norma Schneider of Las Vegas.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., followed by a private burial.

Barry J. Levine

Barry J. Levine, 55, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1947, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was a company vice president, a member of Minionairs Club of Las Vegas, Meeting Planners International, Skull, Hotel Sales Managers Association and Computer Event Marketing Associates.

He is survived by one daughter, Meredith Levine, one son, Richard Levine, and his companion, Laurel Levine, all of Henderson; one sister, Janet Levine of Coral Springs, Fla.; and one grandchild.

Marjorie M. Maddox, 59, of Las Vegas died May 23 in Las Vegas. A resident for 40 years, she was born July 7, 1943, in Epps, La.

She is survived by two sons, Cedric Maddox of Las Vegas and Ike Maddox of New Mexico; two daughters, Debra Joseph of Las Vegas and Teresa Maddox of Las Vegas; two brothers, Sam Brown of Las Vegas and J.C. Brown of Alabama; one sister, Laura Mae Henson of Monroe, La.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Delores Marin, 34, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Sept. 15, 1968, in Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Marco.

She is survived by her husband, George; one daughter, Norma Oats of San Diego; two sisters, Emma Randolph and Millie Austin, and two brothers, Joseph Austin and Carey Brown, all of Tallahassee, Fla.

Josephine A. Pearlman, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Chicago. A resident for 6 1/2 years, she was a retired medical office manager.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome M.; four sons, Steven J. Pearlman and Kenneth S. Pearlman, both of Chicago, Michael J. Pearlman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Daniel J. Pearlman of Detroit; and eight grandchildren.

David Sarinana, 76, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Arcadia, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired janitor.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Teresa; two daughters, Patricia Sarinana and Irma Sarinana, both of El Paso, Texas; four sons, Lorenzo Sarinana and David Sarinana Jr., both of El Paso, Leonardo Sarinana of Santa Ana, Calif., and Armando Sarinana of Oregon; two brothers; two sisters; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jayne Sievers, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and El Giza Temple 139 Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by her husband, John C.; and two daughters, Margaret and Susan, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. A private burial will follow.

Lee Wayne Smith, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 25, 1941, in Camden, N.J. A resident for three years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Karlynn; one daughter, Shanna Valenzuela of Green Valley, Calif.; five sons, Troy Smith and Randy Smith, both of Saugus, Calif., Todd Smith of Mount Wilson, Calif., and Kim Smith and Randy Smith, both of Henderson; his mother, Irene Smith, and one sister, Joy DeStefano, both of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one brother, William Smith of Florida; and nine grandchildren.

Jeffrey Charles Solomon, 53, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Cleveland. A resident for 12 years, he was a hairdresser.

He is survived by one daughter, Erica Solomon of Everett, Wash.; his mother, Betty Solomon, and one sister, Carol "Bootsie" Solomon, both of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Larry Solomon of San Francisco and Ricky Solomon of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Jim Fain; one daughter, Marcia Spivey Wargo; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
