Letter: Women's right to choose eroded

So the self-righteous Republicans in Congress passed the ban on partial-birth abortions and President Bush signed it. It's all posturing, of course, because legal experts have stated that the bill as written is unconstitutional.
Isn't it funny, though, that the GOP has had some three years to give us the senior prescription drug plan they promised in 2000, not to mention the 43 million people without health insurance, and this medical bill is what they come up with.
Americans in general, and women in particular, should be aware that this bill is an attempt to whittle away at, and eventually repeal, Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose.
