Casinos in employment partnership with state

ATLANTIC CITY -- A new worker training partnership between the state and the casino industry will result in more than 1,200 new jobs, Department of Labor Commissioner Albert G. Kroll said Thursday.

New Jersey is giving the casinos a $569,755 grant for the training program. The casinos will match that with $956,965.

Some 4,217 workers, including 1,203 new hires, will receive the grant-funded training, which will take place at Atlantic Cape Community College.
