Columnist Muriel Stevens: Shoppers check out new stores

How sweet it is to go on a vacation without a shopping list of must-haves that previously couldn't be found in Las Vegas. There's very little that shoppers want today that can't be found here. And there's more to come.

New at The District at Green Valley Ranch are Cachet, Flea Bags Barkery & Bow-Tique and Footworks. Cachet features fine handbags, hats and other accessories for women. Flea Bags showcases an array of clothing and merchandise for dogs and cats, as well as snacks that please felines and canines. Footworks offers casual shoes for men and women.

Early August openings include Along Came a Spider, Elephant Bar and Fitigues. Along Came a Spider features upscale children's clothing, shoes and accessories. Fitigues specializes in casual clothing for men, women and children.

Fall openings include one of my favorite shops, the long-awaited Anthropologie; Aveda-Gianna Christine Salon, Spa and Wellness facility; d'Mustard; King's Fish House; and LaSalsa.

Hours at The District at Green Valley Ranch are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Individual store and restaurant hours may vary -- some have extended hours or 24/7 service. Contact stores or restaurants directly for specific information or visit their Web site at www.TheDistrictatGVR.com.
