Dorothy Edna Barnes

Dorothy Edna Barnes, 84, of North Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Anoka, Minn. A resident for six years, she was a civil service executive secretary and a World War II Woman's Army Corps veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Gaylynn Whinery, and one son, Ellsworth Whinery, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Natalie Nelson of Minnesota.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in the chapel at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Ronald G. Barron

Ronald G. Barron, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, he was an attorney, a judge and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth and Samantha; one brother, Melvin Goldstein; and one sister, Susan Alpert.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

The family suggests donations to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Joseph C. Campobasso

Joseph C. Campobasso, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born March 29, 1941, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, he was a dealer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Nicholson of Hemet, Calif.; and one sister, Angel Bentzen of Henderson.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Leigh Ann Friedrich

Leigh Ann Friedrich, 22, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 21, 1982, in Anaheim, Calif. A resident for 15 years, she was a student.

She is survived by two brothers, Steven Friedrich and Chad Friedrich.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Sunday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be in California.

Maxine Grant

Maxine Grant, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 15, 1942, in Altus, Okla. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, David Grant and James Grant, one daughter, Lisa Gossett, and her mother, Margaret Duncan, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Alice Willig of Las Vegas and Linda Snodgrass of California; three brothers, Jack Hubert of Henderson, Ray Hubert of California and Robert Duncan of San Diego; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sarah Frances Hicks-Fields

Sarah Frances Hicks-Fields, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born April 27, 1930. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy A. Bess, Linda S. Hicks and Robin A. Hicks; and one brother, Charles Middleton.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Tuesday in the chapel at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

George H. Koga

George H. Koga, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Gilroy, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a retired deputy sheriff and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kinu; two sons, Wayne Koga of Brea, Calif., and Craig Koga of Monterey Park, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra Koga of Montebello, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

John D. Stevenson

John D. Stevenson, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in New York. A resident for 12 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, RaNette; his mother, Margaret "Izzy"; one brother, Mark; four sisters, Denise Baker, Mary McLauchlin, Kathy Stevenson and Sharon Bradley.
