Glenn A. Alessandro

Glenn A. Alessandro, 48, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1956, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired firefighter in the Air Force and a veteran of the Gulf War.

He is survived by his wife, Carol A.; two daughters, Christina A. Alessandro and Jennifer A. Alessandro, and one son, Guiseppe L. Alessandro, all of North Las Vegas; his father, Joseph J. Alessandro of Los Angeles; two sisters, Marsha L. Robuck of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Kimmy Wolf of Buena Park, Calif.; and one brother, Gary J. Alessandro of Cameron Park, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be noon Monday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Roberto Almaguer-Garcia

Roberto Almaguer-Garcia, 63, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1941, in Cuba. A resident for 17 years, he was a hotel utility porter.

He is survived by his wife, Mirian A.; one daughter, Rebecca Almaguer of Cuba; two sons, Roberson Almaguer of Florida and Roberto Almaguer of Cuba; one stepdaughter, Ebenia Estrada of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday and noon-1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

James Calvin Baltimore

James Calvin Baltimore, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Washington, D.C. A resident for six years, he was a dispatcher for the telephone company and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina; three brothers, Ronald, Gladstone and John; and three sisters, Mary, Emma and Marie.

Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to a 10:30 a.m. service Thursday in Holy Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church, 700 Lola Ave., North Las Vegas. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Robert M. Carroll

Robert M. Carroll, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1933, in South Dakota. A resident for four years, he was a retired deputy sheriff, a veteran of the Army National Guard, a member of the Santa Clara County's Sheriff's Department and Pahrump Gunfighters.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Puga Carroll; two sons, Jerry Carroll and Aumont Carroll; three daughters, Debra Hernandez, Pamela Cruz and Lorraine Carroll; one stepson, Timothy Ramirez; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Bridgman and Terese Vespertino; one brother, Ray Beam; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Ray Depue

Ray Depue, 77, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Ontario, Calif. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an automotive shop, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the American Sand Drag Association.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Lynda Pate and Janice Liston, and one son, Chauncey Depue, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Marguerite C. Flanders

Marguerite C. Flanders, 94, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born May 6, 1910, in Centralia, Okla. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one sister, Loma Inman of Vinita, Okla.; two brothers, Ed Saunders of Pryor, Okla., and Ernest Saunders of Camdenton, Mo.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Walter L. Hall Jr.

Walter L. Hall Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 10, 1930, in California. A resident for 14 years, he was a social worker, an Army veteran and a member of DeMolay.

He is survived by his companion, Keith Almond; one brother, William R. Hall; and one sister, Nancy Pozar.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Edward P. Humes

Edward P. Humes, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Philadelphia. A resident for four years, he was a business consultant.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. with a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Mary J. Marek

Mary J. Marek, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Chicago.

She is survived by two daughters, Michele Markworth of Las Vegas and Lisa M. Bessette of Evergreen, Colo.; one brother, Joseph Jarosz of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Kathleen S. Mathews

Kathleen S. Mathews, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Alpine, Utah. A resident for one year, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by her husband, Dasil; three sons, Alan Mathews of Centerville, Utah, Robert Mathews of Kingwood, Texas, and Michael Mathews of Las Vegas; one sister, Beth Stewart of Richfield, Utah; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Friday in the Relief Society Room of the LDS chapel at 8801 W. Alexander Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

John Henry Noble

John Henry Noble, 79, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in Las Vegas. He was born April 14, 1925, in Texas. A resident for 38 years, he was a men's room attendant for a hotel.

He is survived by two sons, Kerry Butler and Nokomas John Butler; two daughters, Lovella Noble Ogamba and Sharon Annette Butler; one sister, Alma Perry; and six grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Robert A. Ostermiller

Robert A. Ostermiller, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1941, in Bakersfield, Calif. A resident for 41 years, he was a salesman of electrical goods and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A.; one daughter, Kari Anne Ostermiller, and one sister, Janis Louise West, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, William E. Ostermiller Jr. of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Samuel L. Owen

Samuel L. Owen, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1948, in Spearville, Kan. A resident for 18 years, he was a credit manager in the telecommunications industry.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; two sons, Scott Owen and Jeffrey Owen, both of Albuquerque; one sister, Betty Moore of Henderson; one brother, Tom Owen of Denver; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Patricinio J. 'Pat' Sandoval

Patricinio J. "Pat" Sandoval, 79, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 20, 1925, in Maxwell, N.M. A resident for 45 years, he was a machine operator in manufacturing and a member of the United Steelworkers of America.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Frances, and Nancy and Patsy, both of Henderson; six sons, Felix of Ely, Eli of New Mexico, Joe of Georgia and Steve, Pete and Ernie, all of Henderson; 26 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Kenneth Schlesinger

Kenneth Schlesinger, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1935. A resident for 31 years, he was a taxicab driver and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile; one son, Kenneth Jarry of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
