June Altman

June Altman, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 5, 1931, in Detroit. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired card dealer.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; two daughters, Lisa Clevenger and Michelle Benedict, and two sons, Mitchell Altman and Richard Altman, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Cemetery.

Clara Bennett

Clara Bennett, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Thatcher, Ariz. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired secretary for an engineering firm.

She is survived by her husband, Max; three daughters, Pamela McMains of Phoenix, Sheree Cowan of Albuquerque and Tina Vandiver of Las Vegas; one son, Curtis Wright of Blythe, Calif.; five brothers, Dean Curtis of Provo, Utah, Bruce Curtis, Kay Curtis and Phil Curtis, all of Thatcher, and Gary Curtis of Safford, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Charles A. Bower Jr.

Charles A. Bower Jr., 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Oklahoma. A resident for 23 years, he was a government research scientist and a member of the Agronomy Society.

He is survived by his wife, Mary K.; one son, Charles A. Bower III; two daughters, Chris A. Clements and Jennifer Swift; one brother, James E. Bower; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert M. Butler

Robert M. Butler, 57, of Las Vegas died Jan. 24 in Loma Linda, Calif. He was born July 17, 1946, in Cleveland, Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was in marketing and advertising, a Navy veteran, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Michelle; one son, Robert Butler Jr.; two brothers, Curtis Butler and Deacon Chuck Butler; two sisters, Rose Ann Butler and Jeanne Frye; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service today at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Virgil Coman

Virgil Coman, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1923, in Romania. A resident for 20 years, he was employed by Ford Motor Co. and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Silvia; one daughter, Diana Yehia of Foster City, Calif.; two sons, Corilan Coman of Romania and Valentine Coman of Las Vegas; one brother, Ioan Coman of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Tuesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Jorge B. Cordova

Jorge B. Cordova, 57, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 14 years, he was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Guadalajara, Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Maria R.; one daughter, Luz Consuelo Espinoza of Las Vegas and Emmanuel Cordova of Henderson; two brothers, Ignacio Cordova of Las Vegas and Javier Cordova of Sylmar, Calif.; four sisters, Beatriz Perez of Guadalajara, Alicia Huey of San Diego, Consuelo Perera of Las Vegas and Martha Kullman of St. George, Utah.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

James Harris

James Harris, 55, of Las Vegas died Jan. 14 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1948, in Philadelphia. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired, disabled security officer and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Janet Lee Weyna of Bucks County, Pa., and Julie Harris of Albuquerque; one sister, Ruth Slovick, and one brother, Norman Harris, both of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Geraldine Headley

Geraldine Headley, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 6, 1930, in California. A resident for one year, she was a supervisor in the aircraft industry and a member of the Monday No Tappers bowling league.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; two sons, Steven Evans and Liegh Headley; four daughters, Teresa Keiswetter, Marlene Miguel and Janeanne Robinson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Lou Ellen Lefebvre

Lou Ellen Lefebvre, 64, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Dungannon, Va. A resident for five years, she was a retired executive secretary in the finance industry.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Raymond; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Basra of Winnetka, Calif., and Linda Sue Dunn of Chino Hills, Calif.; two sons, Joseph Raymond Lefebvre Jr. and Timothy Irwin Lefebvre, both of Reseda, Calif.; one sister, Margaret Corley of Shreveport, La.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Edgar Lewis, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1924, in New York. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired corrections officer and a member of the Benevolent Association for Retired Officers.

He is survived by two sons, Kelvin and Edgar Jr.; two daughters, Celeste Lewis and Marcia Gavin; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Connie Lietz

Connie Lietz, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1923, in Murray, Utah. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sisters, Georgia Ball and Star Lexis, both of Las Vegas.

Florence R. Lousig-Nont

Florence R. Lousig-Nont, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1917, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired personnel director for a department store and a member of the Catholic Women's League.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Schultz, and one son, Gregory M. Lousig-Nont, both of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Marie Luksza

Marie Luksza, 78, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Ontario, Canada. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired payroll accountant for an office equipment company.

She is survived by one son, Richard Luksza of Henderson.

Bryan Mark Murphy

Bryan Mark Murphy, 5 days, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24.

He is survived by his parents, Shannon and Douglas Murphy, two brothers, Tyler Murphy and Alex Murphy, and one sister, Courtney Murphy, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the LDS chapel at 7500 Tule Springs Road. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Odessa Pattillo

Odessa Pattillo, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Mer Rouge, La. A resident for 68 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a group home-care facility.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny; one daughter, Melva "Marilyn" Amie, and two sons, Clifton Brown and Cornelius Brown, all of Las Vegas; eight sisters; four brothers; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Joe Penzerro Sr.

Joe Penzerro Sr., 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local center. He was born April 16, 1957, in Bridgeport, Conn. A resident for four years, he was a truck driver in the construction industry.

He is survived by his mother, Lucy; three brothers, Pat Penzerro of Las Vegas and Robert Penzerro and Nicholas Penzerro, both of Connecticut; and two sisters, Rosemarie Hutnick of Massachusetts and Kathleen Penzerro of Connecticut.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Joseph H. Pete

Joseph H. Pete, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. A retired dealer and a Korean War veteran of the National Guard, he was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Paterson, N.J.

He is survived by his wife, Rufina; three daughters, Diana Pete, Angela Pete and Debra Pete, and three sons, Joey Pete, Christopher Pete and Zahid Siddiqi, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Leatrice Joy Rakow, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Oklahoma. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, August F. Rakow; one son, Lance R. Rakow; one daughter, Belen R. Wall; and two grandchildren.

James Reza, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Santa Cruz, N.M. A resident for 42 year, he was a retired Clark County School District architectural planner, a Nevada Test Site employee and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Angela; one daughter, Samantha, one son, James P., and one sister, Sheilah Long, all of Las Vegas; and one nephew, Seth Long of Albuquerque.

Gloria Ryness, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 14, 1950, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a retired telephone company clerk.

Gloria Gail Stephens, 60, of Las Vegas died Jan. 26 in a local hospital. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., and was a retired Boeing Aircraft employee.

She is survived by one daughter, Terry McFall; one son, Tracy Stephens; and two granddaughters.

Anna Tisdale

Anna Tisdale, 95, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1908, in Carthage, Ark. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Andrew Millsap and Henry Millsap, both of Las Vegas, and Joe L. Millsap of Eldorado, Ark.; one daughter, Mattie Jones of North Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Primitivo Velasquez

Primitivo Velasquez, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1918, in Mexico. A resident for 12 years, he was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Agapita; eight sons, Aurelio Velasquez, Nicholas Velasquez and Guadalupe Velasquez, all of Mexico, and Octavio Velasquez, Isarael Velasquez, Primitivo Velasquez, Mirian Velasquez and Cesar Velasquez, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Karlota Velasquez, Eudolia Velasquez and Heber Velasquez, all of Mexico, and Sonia Velasquez of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren.

Keith M. Williams

Keith M. Williams, 24, of Las Vegas died Jan. 28 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he worked in inventory for a linen company.

He is survived by his mother, Nettie R. Williams, and three brothers, Lugine Williams Jr., Fredrick E. Williams and DeAndre Williams, all of Las Vegas.
