Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas on Thursday announced the appointment of Brian C. Robinson as chief executive officer effective Feb. 24.
Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Inc. chose Robinson to oversee hospital operations at Sunrise and its adjacent Sunrise Children's Hospital, which together make up the state's largest hospital with 701 beds. He will also be the market president in Las Vegas for HCA, overseeing MountainView Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center and three surgery centers.
Robinson, 45, is currently president and chief executive of HCA-owned North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainsville, Fla. He has been with HCA for 21 years in various positions.
Sunrise president and CEO A. Allan Stipe announced on Jan. 15 his plans for retiring.
