Letter: Beers' stances hard to swallow

I don't like the favorable press that Assemblyman Bob Beers, R-Las Vegas, seems to be getting in his effort to become a state senator. I don't like Bob Beers. I don't like his blustering manner. I didn't like his opposition to the tax bill, which threatened the program for gifted and talented students. I don't like his opposition to the tax program passed by the Legislature and approved by Gov. Kenny Guinn.

How could anyone vote for such a candidate?
