Red Rock steps up to bats

For the past three summers, Bureau of Land Management staff have taught Las Vegas residents about bats at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

An evening program on Saturday will allow visitors to learn about bats in a lecture and then take a short walk to a spring on the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive to watch and listen to bats.

Visitors will see photos of bats from around the world and then listen to the bats hunting insects near the spring.

Reservations are required for the program. Call (702) 515-5367.
