Letter: Voters have exit strategy for Bush

The death toll for American troops in Iraq has now surpassed the 1,000 mark. Remember that sunny May day in 2003, when President Bush stood on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln and gave that rousing victory speech about how major combat operations in Iraq had ended? And him saying that the U.S. and its allies had accomplished "our noble mission." And that the world was now a safer place?

Yet the president still doesn't have a plan to get us out of there and people continue to die. I hope my fellow voters remember this as they go to the polls in November. It's time to trim the White House of yet another Bush.

Give John Kerry a chance to get us out of this mess, because it appears Bush has no plan other than to hang on for four more years.
