'Living Room'

ReJAVAnate Coffee Lounge, 3300 E. Flamingo Road, is hosting "Art in the Living Room at reJAVAnate," featuring the works of local artist Paul Fickett, from Monday to May 6. An artist's reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the coffee lounge. 253-7721.

'Last Friday'

Call to artists

The Clark County Department of Parks and Community Services is looking for artists to participate in the "Zap!" project in the neighborhood of the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Ten artists will be chosen, and each will be paid $2,000 to paint one one of 10 sites chosen along parts of East Desert Inn Road and McLeod Drive. Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. April 8. Two exhibits

The exhibits "One Hundred Years of Influence: The Role of Women in Shaping the First 100 Years of Las Vegas" and "Essential Dimensions Juried Artist Competition" will continue until May 22 at the Las Vegas Art Museum, 9600 W. 'Bright Light City'

Art competition

Submissions are being accepted for the May 1 "Art of the Bicycle" amateur art show sponsored by the Silver State Bicycle Coalition. Submissions will be accepted until April 25, and can be dropped off at Las Vegas Cyclery, 8221 W. Charleston Blvd. The fee for each work submitted is $5, and proceeds will be used to buy bicycle helmets the SSBC donates throughout the year. 'Less is More'

Helga Blackford

The works of Henderson artist Helga Blackford will be displayed during March at the Lost City Museum in Overton. Berenstain Bears
