BILLINGS -- The Northern Cheyenne Indian tribe has signed a management agreement with Full House Resorts Inc. to develop a casino near the Tongue River Reservoir in southeast Montana, officials said Tuesday.
Tribal President Eugene Little Coyote said the agreement is merely a first step and still subject to approval by the National Indian Gaming Commission. He said consultation on the project also needs to occur with the state.
"There's a long ways to go, but the most important step in any journey is the first step," Little Coyote said. "It's exciting and wonderful. I just don't want to jump the gun."
