Richard Law, in a Jan. 1 letter to the editor, indicated that the bureaucracy controls and directly affects our everyday lives in a nonproductive fashion, specifically with regard to traffic signals.
In order to "crack the shell and get these officials' attention," as he wrote, I would suggest a change in their management. After all, 2006 and 2007 are election years.
