Letter: GOP sure knows how to make us safe

We 're confused.

The immigration bill was defeated mainly by Republicans claiming it is amnesty for illegal immigrants who have not been tried and convicted of anything . Then their leader, President Bush, commutes the sentence of a tried and convicted felon, previously employed by the vice president.

Boy, do we ever feel safer now .
