Concerning the plight of the Social Security system, I quote Jay Bookman of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in his Friday commentary (“The biggest scam of all”), in which he explains how the Trust Fund is drained of its assets for other purposes:
“There are two versions of events. One is the official sales pitch used to bring in the suckers. The second is the hidden reality, the way the racket really works.”
