There has not been much coverage of the truckers’ slowdown in protest of the high cost of fuel.
What a disappointment that this story isn’t making the headlines of every newspaper in the country.
The oil company executives are telling Congress how much they have paid in taxes while they are making hundreds of billions in profits and not building one new refinery.
They say their refineries are running at the maximum, but the prices keep going up. They don’t want to pay more taxes for alternative energy, but they don’t want to lessen their profits by increasing production. They are having their cake and eating it, too.
