Pity U.S. workers, not immigrants

In response to Timothy Pratt’s Sunday story, “Vegas Exodus: How a slump in housing construction has cost immigrant workers their jobs and sent them home”:

How terribly sad. Now they know how American citizens felt when they invaded the United States and depressed wages and cost American citizens their jobs.

Amazingly, though, I saw nothing in the story about the plight of American workers.
